We had booked a jacuzzi room for a 1 night getaway on the May long weekend. After booking, we read the negative reviews but did not cancel as the site we booked through showed we would would still be charged the full amount. We came equipped with cleaning supplies expecting the room to be dirty, but it was actually really...

I don't know about the bad reviews, we had a great stay at this place. The staff was friendly and the room was very clean. Breakfast was not just a few doughnuts, but a full course meal cooked to order. Wi fi kinda sucked, but who care when you have a view of the northern sky full of stars. Overall...

I booked this hotel through Expedia which was advertising free cancellation. This was not accurate, as the hotel holds on to the equivalent of 1 night's accommodation as a cancellation fee as soon as you book. Initially I didn't want to cancel my reservation, I just wanted to arrange for a later check-in time (they do not allow check-ins after...

We stopped here after a day-long trek thru Canada; wished we had gone another few miles. What was once a great place has really fallen into disrepair. It was obvious that the Inn had been neglected for quite some time...mold in rooms, BBQ area with thick with bird droppings. The place had a surreal quality of a time-gone-by.

Sad to see such a great place and location decline so badly.New owners have not updated web site so you could be misled.Rooms were dirty and shabby, housekeeping consisted of changing towels and making beds. There was no cleaning ,dusting or vacuuming.Breakfast service was very slow and the food greasy.Whole place needs a big update.

Great location? - yes! As for the room and the service, the (seemingly) new owners have a lot to learn. Our room was dirty, and the mattress was very smelly.Breakfast took a long time to get to the table and was mediocre at best. Also, the entire place is falling into disrepair, which shows in screen-doors falling apart, lots of...

My mom and I stayed a weekend here and I would not recommend it. It's a super old place and was musty smelling. The rooms were clean and spacious though. The finish work everywhere was atrocious. You get the impression no one really cares about what anything looks like. My biggest issue though was the food. What a compete rip...

We've stayed at this inn 3 or 4 times over the past few years, and sadly it seems to be declining. The location is very convenient with a nice short drive to Algonquin Park, and the rooms are always clean and with nice views of the lake. But, on our last visit our room had a "funky" smell (perhaps mildew...

Pros: The motel has a good location and the bathroom was clean. Cons: the staff charged us more money than what we had originally paid for at the time of booking. Very petty. They could not bear that we got a cheaper deal online instead of booking through them directly and they found a way to make up for that...

So I booked a cabin with booking.com and headed to Algonquin. During my day I got a call from the hotel saying my room was double booked so I couldn't have the cabin. Ummmmmm So they gave me a hotel room (not a cabin) and then charged me more. So I get to the room and get this...I have 2...
