This is a great example of understated luxury. We had a very large suite on the second floor of the main building. There was even a large ante room before our suite. Luxury - beautiful antique furniture, enormous soaking tub, views of the gardens and the fields facing west. Friendly and thoughtful restaurant and hotel staff - relaxed but top...

Incredible setting, amazing food and beautiful bedrooms...all is great except that for an international traveller, the service is not at the level of a hotel/restaurant of the standing you are expecting. I have travelled around the world to amazing places and I can tell you they will have to review their attitude as the management has a serious problem. We...

I stayed here with my boyfriend the other week and I cannot fault a thing. It is PERFECT for a couples get away. We booked a double room with a terrace and it was 5 star all the way. The staff bend over backwards for you. Nothing is too much. The jacuzzi baths were amazing. Definitely big enough for 2...

We had a superior double room in one of the converted outbuildings. It was very spacious with a huge double bed. The bathroom was also spacious and the toiletries were regularly topped up by the excellent cleaning staff. Our bed linen was changed frequently and the towels daily. The room also had fresh flowers and candles which were a particular...

This hotel has the potential to be one of the greats but a lack of attention to the fine detail lets it down. Set up on a high point south-east of San Lluis, the main house is a large and imposing stone building the central core of which used to be a watch tower. This is where you find many...

We ate in the restaurant on our first night (pre booked before we left the UK). We ate off the set menu. The food was delicious and excellent value, it even in included...

Stayed 4 nights as part of a walking package and had a wonderful time. The suite was particularly lovely with a beautiful terrace and the biggest bath i had ever seen! The breakfasts were very nice with a large choice of pastries, breads, cold meats and cheeses. And the two evening meals were also excellent. We also took the pleasant...

We stayed 3 nights in junior suite room 103. We loved the room and the hotel the only issue was heat - end of October and the room was too hot! The suite is on 2 levels and the upstairs bedroom in the suite has no windows so the hot air rises and can't escape - the air conditioning didn't...

We had suite 102, ground floor with terrace outside in 14th century tower. Enormous bed, great bed linen, whirlpool bath absolutely delightful. Set in it's own grounds with swimming pool and possible walk down to coast through property. Fantastic food, we ate there all four nights we stayed and plenty to chose from the menu. In room free mini bar...

We stayed at this hotel as part of a walking group and what a disappointment it was. After spending a week at the hotel, I can honestly say that I have nothing positive to say about it. The meals were of poor quality, tiny portions, quite often tasteless food and sometimes cold. The bar staff were friendly but took ages...
