After a difficult journey from Pisa due to very heavy rain I arrived I arrived late . I managed to phone and the Staff said they could still serve dinner when I arrived which was about 9-45pm. When I arrived the staff could not have been more helpful and we had a superb dinner in a very attractive dining room...

A local whom I recently met recommended that I dine at this hotel's beautiful restaurant. Since Montone was some 45-50 minutes away from Perugia/Assisi, I was a little sceptical about whether it was worth the drive. After spending my last night in Umbria in this lovely place, my doubts evaporated. I had the most pleasant dinner in La Locanda del...

We stayed 6 nights at the hotel (12 - 18 June 2016). Very happy about the facilities: the room, the comfortable bed, the bathroom, the friendly and personal service, the tasteful breakfast. The hotel facilities matched our expectations. It was excellent. The meals we had on three nights even exceeded our expectations. The tuna had the exact cooking. The lamb...

The hotel is located in a pretty village with spectacular scenery. The staff were lovely and one noticed us walking down to the hotel and helped us with our suitcases. The rooms were decorated in a traditional style with spectacular views from the balcony. Breakfast was good with a cake, croissants, meats, cheese, bread, cereals, yoghurts and fresh coffee. Sadly...

A lovely hotel in a beautiful walled town. There are not many tourists here, so it's a bit more quiet than some other towns that are more popular. It's a great base from which to explore the area, or just relax around the town. It's lovely and fun to explore, and small enough that the locals hang out in the...

We stayed at this hotel for two nights. We were lucky enough to have a balconey and the views of Montone from the balconey were stunning. The room was lovely. The dinner we had one evening was very good; the wait staff was friendly and attentive. The one disappointment was breakfast.....very few choices with more packaged food that we would...

We stayed at Locanda del Capitano last August, for three days. It's the ideal place for a vacation in Umbria and in central Italy in general. Close to pretty much everything (if you have a car) and secluded and tranquil at the same time. The rooms are small but cozy and with all the amenities, and the views can't be...

The hotel is very nice, up-to-date, and comfortable. If you get one of the rooms on the top floor you have incredible views over the rooftops to the countryside. Since Montone is a very small town, everything is very quiet. This is a great place to either spend a couple of days just hanging out, or as a jumping off...

This small hotel in the tiny village of Montone offers all the comfort you could want -- a spacious room, a reasonably-sized bathroom with a shower you can actually turn around in (unlike many small Italian hotels) and Wi-Fi that works well. But the best part is Montone itself, a tiny, walled Umbrian hill town offering spectacular views of the...
