Hotel Tiber Fiumicino stands out to guests for its convenient airport proximity and scenic river views, along with modern amenities and a choice of dining options. While the rooms are appreciated for their comfort and views, noise levels can be a concern. The hotel's cleanliness is consistently praised; however, opinions on service and value vary, with some guests finding the staff accommodating and the shuttle service reasonably priced, whereas others have faced issues with additional charges and overpriced food. Despite its modern atmosphere and spacious rooms, travelers should be aware of potential noise from onsite events.

This hotel was very good overall. It is not a fancy hotel, but it is very comfortable, clean, and quiet. The staff was absolutely wonderful, helpful, and friendly. We arrived 3 hours before check-in time, and they still got us a room. Not only that, the receptionist changed our room to a much better room on a lower floor because there would be a party on the fifth floor of the hotel, so that the noise would not bother us. They provide a shuttle to the airport for 7 euro per person, very inexpensive and with good service. Our room had a balcony from which we could see the Tyrrhenian Sea and the activity on the port. The food in the vicinity is wonderful. We ate at Il Moro and bought bread at Panificio Tevere, both highly recommendable! I would stay at this hotel for sure if I returned to Fiumicino.

I was really pleased I chose this hotel. Looks great from the outside and is very pleasant inside as well. View from my room overlooked the canal by the sea and it was lovely to see all the fishing boats. Ten minute drive from the airport there is a shuttle from the hotel at €3 per person per night. The Terravision coach stop to get to Rome is a 20 minute walk away. Hotel has it's own restaurant and there are also plenty nearby. My only criticism is that the scrambled eggs at breakfast tasted of nothing and it makes me wonder if they use powdered egg?

5 out of 5 stars. The hotel itself is well maintained and the staff is very pleasant. Hotel was quite nice and the breakfast buffet was good. Elevators are in the older European style (i.e. they are smaller, but there are more of them available for use). The dining room in Hotel Tiber has prices that are pretty much the same as the restaurants down the street. Local Italian newspapers are available daily in the lobby. Regarding the room itself: The surroundings were very quiet. The balcony was small, but perfect for taking in the sea air. The bathroom is well designed. The shower is a little narrow, but the rainfall shower is a thing of beauty!! Sooooo relaxing! The mini-fridge is quite cold and worked very well. Finally, the rooftop pool is simply beautiful. Of note: swim caps are required, but they are available at the front desk for a small cost. Also of note: The front desk can coordinate a shuttle for you to go to almost any destination in Rome (fee is charged to your room, and you agree on it in advance before booking.) We took the shuttle in for the day, and then rode the Leonardo Express (train) from Roma Termini to the airport (FCO), and then took the hotel/airport shuttle back to the hotel. Very convenient! (and this was our very first trip to Italy!)

We chose the Tiber hotel to rest on the return of a flight of over 13 hours from Asia arriving in the evening in Rome before resuming our journey home the next day.
Arriving hungry at the hotel, we were also told in a rude way that the restaurant and bar were full and inaccessible, even just to eat a sandwich, because it was December 31 and the structure had thought of organizing the New Year’s Eve dinner excluding hotel customers (since no one from the hotel had informed us when booking) and that we would have to arrange another way.
Moreover, upon our arrival, the girl at the reception told us that we should have worried first so as not to find ourselves in that situation!
But that's not all. The Tiber Hotel had also organized an evening with deejay on the 4th floor starting at 11 am, this event too is not accessible for us and which also did not allow us to rest.
For a total of 157.14 Euro without breakfast (excluding the tourist tax) the Tiber hotel made us feel like two unwelcome guests and happened at the wrong time. Absolutely the opposite of how a traveler would like to feel when choosing a hotel. I've traveled a lot in my life but it's the first time ever that something like this has happened to me. Experience to forget.

Horrible horrible oh and did I say horrible? We booked this hotel since it was close to the airport. We had to be at the airport at 6:30am so figured why not? We stayed on the first floor and there is a roof deck literally 10 ft from our slider. They had a party going on with music so loud it shook the room. And when the DJ talked it was even louder. Called the front desk and they couldn’t care less! WTF? We are not old and love to party but seriously? Others have complained about this as well and I wish I read reviews before this. Also AC did not work and they refused to give us another room. I would have had a better nights sleep at Grand Central Station, on top of a volcano, or at a Carnival!! DO NOT TAKE THE CHANCE. Hope this place goes out of business. They care NOTHING about the guests and everything about the party rentals should close down the hotel and just make it a night club….

After a week in Italy we decided to stay here based on reviews the night before flying home. Upon arrival the gentleman behind the desk said we booked two rooms and he was adamant that it was not their fault after we had explained that we did not book two rooms as there was only two of staying. We kindly asked to speak to a manager but there was not one working we were told and the second room would need to be charged at full price. We understand that things can happen but they would not work with us to rectify the issue. Approximately an hour later while walking past the front desk we were told that they would refund us the amount for the second "mistake" room ONLY if we ate dinner at their restaurant that was on site. The staff was extremely rude and the hotel was not as shown on their website. Do not stay here!

This was exactly what we hoped and expected. Very close to the airport it was very convenient for an overnight on arrival in Rome primo to travelling on The next day. We used the undercover parking, it was very hot so the car was pleasant to get into the next day.
The room was lovely with a small balcony, and the location on the river near all the fishing fleet was marvellous. There were also a large number of restaurants close by. We saw a beautiful sunset from the pool and the harbour side. The pool is small but perfectly formed as they say and a great opportunity to chill after the journey. Well worth a visit if you need an overnight close to Fiumicino

We only spent one night here before a flight from FCO. The location is very close to the airport. I was surprised to find out that the hotel is in a part of the city that is a vibrant fishing port. There are LOTS of restaurants and bars within walking distance. We booked a superior room with a water view and it was GIGANTIC! We had two decks, a large bed and a ton of space. The bathroom shower was bigger than usual Italian too. Everything was great - it was soundproof and the curtains provided a very dark room. The staff was very friendly. Parking was super easy and only 5 euro per day. The breakfast was decent too - lots of homemade pastries. This was probably the best hotel airport we've stayed in. I would recommend this hotel, especially if you are flying in or out of FCO. There are a lot of places to walk in the immediate area and it's even near a beach. We were mesmerized by the fishing boats and the hard work those folks do. The price for our room was extremely reasonable too. Wifi worked well.

We stayed here one night before an early flight back to the USA. The shuttle bus that took us to the hotel was terrible. It was an old white van with NO air conditioning with a very grumpy lady driver that left us standing out in the broiling sun at the Rome airport waiting for it and then waiting for her to actually load the van and take off. There was no explanation for the 5 minute or more delay once the shuttle arrived. Later that day we did see a better shuttle bus which looked more normal and updated but they shouldn't have charged us 7 euros each to take the horrid white van. And the van didn't drive right up to the hotel either but left us to roll our suitcases up an incline to get to the hotel's patio entrance......very poor service. (We took a taxi back to the airport the next morning for 25 euros and that driver even came into the hotel to get our bags for us!)

The hotel itself is in the town of Fiumicino which seemed to have nothing to offer except some working fishing boats just in front of the hotel. But the room was OK with working air conditioning.

We dined at the hotel restaurant but were chastised not so politely for not making a reservation to dine there downstairs (at 7:30 pm) when there was plenty of room for us. The food was good though. But a hotel restaurant usually counts on hotel dwellers to dine there with no reservations.

On our last day of vacation in Italy, we were the victims of a scam at this establishment: the staff of the Pension Tiber restaurant told us that dinner was included in the Award. Cautious, we asked to double check this information. Confirmation obtained and delighted, we are settled. The waiter handed us a menu (not the classic menu) telling us that we were allowed two courses and a dessert. We were not so hungry but it was offered so we took advantage of it! The next morning (our taxi was waiting for us in front of the sign) we went to the reception for the Check out. Unpleasant surprise!!!! Rating was salty! Almost 100 euros was added to our bill!!! (Excluding drinks we paid for the day before, of course). We explained the situation but our taxi was waiting for us outside and the establishment had taken the print of our credit card .... In short a bitter taste left by this establishment, while we had a superb stay in Italy. For this reason we do not recommend this dishonest establishment. If it was an error on the part of the restaurant staff we should have had a gesture from the manager. In any case do not fall for it as we did if you decide to go:)

The last pickup is at 10:30pm so you will have missed it. Just order a taxi, it's close. I have the latest map/times as we are going back next month but I cannot figure out how to attach it. When you check in, you can make arrangements for your airport return.
