Position is right on the canal and as we were cycling the canal this was perfect. A short walk into town and along the canal where there were plenty of places to eat. Friendly and helpful. Room pretty old fashioned and hairdryer blew cold but generally OK.

Having been let down by other accomodation we checked into this amazing hotel. Large room with excellent bathroom and comfortable bed. Easy walk into town for dinner. Breakfast was good but the best was to come . On checking out we met Claude the owner who went above and beyond what you would expect. Driving us to a supermarket and... More

Stayed here for 1 night, rooms were basic, but clean and comfortable. Hotel staff friendly and helpful, lots of info available if needed. Buffet basic breakfast, which was fine. Thought the rooms were a little overpriced especially as the view we had was of a pathway and hedge! But you're paying for the location being next to the canal and... More

Our room overlooked the Canal du Midi. An easy walk to the city center with many restaurant options. Free parking onsite. The hotel is away from the road so quieter--aside from the ducks quacking from the canal. Room was spotless and bed comfortable. Staff very hospitable and helped us with restaurant recommendations. We walked along the canal to the pier... More

Perfect location for a couple of nights before going on the Canal. The best thing was the hospitality shown by the owner. Had a wonderful afternoon having a drink with Claude. Made it very special for us and our friends

We stayed at this hotel for a night whilst on a bike trip. It is well positioned right on the Canal and is back from the road so very quiet and peaceful. It is a very short walk to the main part of town. The rooms are fairly old but they are well maintained and clean - if a little... More

From the photos of the hotel, the building seemed to look like a prefab school, so it was a good surprise to arrive and find the view at the back of the building, right above the scenic Canal du Midi. I agree with your reviewer William K. that the owner is somewhat strange and extremely nosy, making inappropriate comments even... More

Location with bedrooms overlooking the Canal du Midi is great; rooms are basic but OK except for inconvenient opening of window which blocks access to one side of the bed. Our main impression however was of the "welcome" from the smug and patronising proprietor who first greeted us as old friends, then told us off for booking via an agency,... More

A good basic stopover hotel, walk to the windmill with wonderful views and the church is worth a visit too. There is a nice walk around the Grand Basin of the Canal. The hotel provides a good breakfast and secure storage for bikes.

Stayed here one night before picking up our boat at the Le Boat dock in Castelnaudary. Owner/operators were warm and welcoming and immediately made us feel at home. Our room was simple, a comfortable queen bed, shower with good water pressure and a separate W/C. Our room had a small window that overlooked a back garden - nothing spectacular -... More
