I recently stayed at this property with a group of 20 people for 6 nights. It was located about 2 hours from SAL airport, San Salvador. The location was right off the main road, Av Indepedencia, and in the proximity of a shopping center, MetroCentro, and various food options, including Burger king, McDonalds, Pizza Hut, Pollo Campero, and Mister Dounuts,... This hotel is very nice. Spacious, and clean. Convenient location. Just off main highway, bus stop and the big mall on extreme east side of town (closer to El Congo and San Salvador). It is separated out front by a large front yard, so you feel secure, and separate from road. Armed guard at door way. Did not hear street... More

A big room, with air conditioned, LCD TV with cable, good bed and big bathroom. Nothing fancy, clean. Really it was late, was real tired; I have a good night sleep! The other day a good shower and went to have breakfast. It was one of the simplest breakfast! nothing out of this world, but at least I have something... More

The hotel is in a good location if you are traveling, due to its proximity to highways and by-passes. The room I was given was very clean, quiet, and best of all, the AC was ice cold. The continental breakfast was a joke. The staff ranged from very helpful to could care less about my needs.

My family and I recently stayed at the Tolteka for 5 nights. The first two nights were broken up by a trip to Playa del Sol and then a trip to Lago de Coatepeque. We stayed in 3 different rooms over the course of our stay. This is El Salvador. Don't expect too much. With that said the rooms, linens... More

Seemed to be one of the better options in town but was pretty soulless. Rooms were old and not very pleasant - old bathrooms, not very nice linens, some rooms with smelly old carpets. There is a pool but you probably wouldn't want to get in it. Seemingly quite popular with groups of Salvadorean men so quite noisy. Location isn't... More

We stayed over one night. The room was pretty clean and the staff was really friendly. They have tight security where you can put away your vehicle. Phone service was out that nite and the clerk offered his personal cell phone.

The food at this restaurant is horrible. Not only are there limited options, the food itself is worse than fast food quality bordering on inedible. Beware the continental breakfast they serve: the milk is unpasteurized/unhomogogenized, and made us sick with nausea and diarrhea the entire duration of our stay! This 'hotel' wouldn't be so bad if they just brought in... More

If you are coming and staying overnight in Santa Ana this hotel is a decent place to stay. The "free breakfast" is a joke. But what can you expect, after all is "free". Make sure to ask for a non-smoking room. Even the non-smoking rooms kind of smell.

Definitely; this hotel is not a hotel for more than one night. The room had a very bad smell. Internet does not work in the room. Strange noises are heard at night-it looks like a casino at the hotel. I did not wait for breakfast because of time, but from what I could read is not at all recommended. Nearby... More
