We stayed one night as part of an extended East Coast road trip, the hotel was easy to find and the out of hours key collection was easy. The parking is undercover and there is a small pool across the courtyard, ideal for cooling off after a drive. There is a BBQ in the pool area if required, we ate out locally, there are several restaurants nearby.
We had room 5 which overlooks a grass area onto the race course, it was very clean and has all the facilities, no oven or combo microwave though, just a microwave and toaster. The bed was large and comfortable and the linen clean and fresh. There is a large TV which had very good channels.
Thoroughly recommend.

I had 5 adults booked in to the Hawkesbury Race Club Motel for 2 nights so we could attend a family get together. the rooms were comfortable, nice & spacious. We had 2 in one room & 3 in the other, the layout was good & it was great having a microwave & sink. Probably the only fault was the rooms we were in had the shower in the bath which made it awkward to get in & out especially for an 89 year old although it did have a rail to assist getting in & out.

This motel was very clean, quieter than most, has undercover parking, good AC, a pleasant rural setting, and secure features. Downsides were minor noise from the very nearby train line, the curtains are a bit short so didn’t block light fully, and the shower screen is ineffective and results in a very wet floor. No exhaust fan apparent or if there was one, it wasn’t working. Had a problem with the access keycards locking us out at checkout time rather than an hour after the end of checkout.

Room Tip: West wing may be a little quieter as it is further from the train and screened a bit by east wing.

BIG room with single and queen bed, small kitchen area, dining table and sofa. Really very nice and cozy in the drizzly weather. The staff were really pleasant and able to advise on a nearby pub to eat at. They were right, the food at Clarendon Pub was great. Highly recommend for anyone needing accommodation in this area.

This is a beautiful property. The rooms are well equipted, the beds were outstanding. Everything was really clean and tidy. My one concern when we arrived is that the rail line if close to the motel. This was not a problem at all. But at around 11pm a plane took off from the nearby airport and sounded like it was in the parking lot. I liked the property, if I'm in the area I would not hesitate to book there again.

The easiest after hours check in we’ve ever experienced! The staff were extremely helpful and kind. The rooms were very clean and full of everything we needed. We didn’t use the pool but there was a family using it, it looked very clean also. Definitely a wonderful stop-over or family holiday!

We stayed here for 1 night on 30/5/09as part of a road trip to the Central West. The lady from the Tourist Information recommended this hotel to us and we were extremely impressed by the cleanliness, staff friendliness and large rooms of this motel. It is situated within the racecourse complex of the Hawkesbury Race Club and is a brand new motel. Beautifully decorated with quality amenities. Perfect if you are travelling through the Hawkesbury. The motel is just a short stroll to a tavern where you can purchase meals. Also has a bottle shop attached. The Hogs Breath Cafe is located upstairs. The motel does have a continental breakfast but it is only a 5 minute drive to Windsor where there a lots of lovely cafes serving breakfast. We would suggest you try "Simons". Absolutely beautiful food and service. Would definitely recommend this Motel to anyone passing through the area.

This motel is right on Hawkesbury Race Track. Walking distance to the races, pub, Hogs Breath. Very modern room with all conveniences. It is a brand new motel and the rooms are very well appointed. Also they are quiet. Lovely people in reception. The surrounding towns of Windsor and Richmond are well worth a visit.

We have used the Racecourse Motel over the last seven years for our yearly event. In that time Ken, the Manager, and his staff were most helpful in all we required.
Ken is no longer there and has been replaced with what can only be described as a robotic anti- social person with a pre-programmed personality having attended too many security courses.
Previously, on my arrival as guest host, apart from the warmest welcome, room keys of our guests were laid out in order that we could arrange flowers and niceties in the guest’s room prior to their arrival. In addition I always provided my CC card for guest’s “extras” should there be a need.
This year the pre-programme automon wouldn’t have a bar of it. In tight lip bearing no hint of welcome smile, I was “told” to provide my credit card which would cover my room only. Each guest would need to provide their own CC cards! IN ADDITION he demanded my driving licence bearing photograph to make sure I was who I was before handing over the keys. And each guest would need to do the same! That’s it !
Now at this point I might add that I was about to tell this guy to shove it and we would go elsewhere, albeit that being a pain in the neck, but my foot had been shot by my staff having Pre-Paid the accommodation account !
Then, I have one guest who would arrive after the office closing time. Well did this cause commotion. How was this guest going to provide a CC and photo ID?
It just got worse from there and this is such a pity. The motel is excellent in every other way.
So my warning if you are contemplating staying at this motel is prepare to meet with a manager who is so security conscious that the CIA should be clamouring for his services.

Dear George S, Thank you for taking the time to generate and post your review. I am saddened to hear that you have found the Check-In process too restrictive on this occasion. Yes I can confirm that a few new additional small changes have been made to help the Motel come in-line with current industry standards in terms of Guests Confidentiality and Security. Guest security is one of many important parts of daily Motel Operations, we do strive to make all our guests Check-In’s as seamless as possible whilst ensuring that we cover the important processes. In relation to ID being required on Check-In, yes this is a requirement of the Motel however we do accept multiple forms of photo ID (and a Drivers License is not essential if our guests are able to produces another form of ID). All of the Motel Team would have been more than happy to assist with delivering items to other guests rooms if this had have been requested at any point during your stay at the Motel, our goal is to make our guests as comfortable as possible during their stay and this is a common request that we assist with on a daily basis. Regarding Late Night Check-In’s (Motel Reception is open seven days a week from 7am to 9pm daily, the Motel does have a very efficient and secure – Night Safe for guests arriving in between opening hours, which has been utilized very successfully – the Motel also provides overnight management assistance contactable via the Phone or via a Night Bell for any urgent guest related matters). I hope that your event at the Showground was successful. I would be more than happy to go through in detail with yourself as to why Motels / Hotels have certain security procedures on Check-In, to try and clarify your concerns further. You can contact myself on the below details. This Motel was a pleasant surprise, very nice of them to allow us an early check in time as we were attending a wedding, staff friendly, room was very clean with a kitchenette and all the usual (new looking) cooking utensils supplied, comfortable bed and pillows, nice shower, no complaints whatsoever. It looks to have been refurbished. Recommended.
