Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed here two nights to enjoy the Coromandel area. The owners are lovely…very welcoming and gave us information for visiting the area etc. It is very eco friendly and they grow/make much of what they serve from the bread, jams, etc. It is a lovely property with sitting areas on both sides of the house. There is even a kitchen for guests to use as well as a living area. The only downside is it is a little dated, but very clean etc.

This is a very pleasant B &B with nice accommodations. The rooms were very quiet and clean, with comfortable beds. The owners, Judy and Gerald were super helpful and pleasant. Good breakfast. Convenient to all locations in the Coromandel peninsula.

My daughter and I spent the night of 11/25/22 here. The rose gardens were in full bloom, their orange trees all heavy with fruit, and we had fresh picked strawberries from the garden as part of our delicious breakfast which we enjoyed our on their covered back porch. A very comfortable and clean B&B in a lovely setting.

Was there with my sister. We loved it! Gerard and Judy are gracious and friendly hosts. Delicious breakfast served outdoors in the back garden. The place is extremely clean and very welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed it. I had a weak spot for their dog Milly, she's so sweet and she let me rub her belly :-)

We had the best stay at Jacaranda Lodge! The location is beautiful, perfect for a peaceful getaway. The breakfast was amazing with lots of homemade options - even fresh juice from their fruit trees! A very comfortable and welcoming stay. We will definitely be back soon!

We arrived around midday and were warmly greeted by the hosts who are very charming Kiwis. The property is well separated from the road and landscaped in traditional Kiwi farm style with an orchard at the back. We were shown to our corner room on the upper floor with views of the Donkey paddock and the orchard. The room and ensuite were spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable. The lodge is very handy to the township for supplies and the many points of interest in the area. Flowers were blooming and the citrus trees had fruit on them and this was meant to be Winter! Breakfast was all off the property. From the homemade Bread and preserves to the muesli and yoghurt and the just-collected eggs. A great start to a day of exploring. We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 nights with Judy and Gerard and would highly recommend the lodge to anyone visiting Coromandel

We had such a nice stay at the Jacaranda Lodge. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay for more than one night. You will be warmly greeted by the owners (and their donkey). The breakfast, with fresh fruit, juice, yogurt, eggs, toast (homemade bread) was one of the best we had in NZ. The owners take their role as hosts very seriously and will work to make your stay the very best. Highly recommended!

If you are lucky enough to stay here you will be made welcome by the owners Gerard and Judy. Indeed we met a lady from Germany who was there for her third stay! We had a lovely bedroom with an en-suite bathroom overlooking the jacaranda tree and with views over open countryside. We stayed in numerous properties in our 4 week stay in the North & South Islands of NZ and can honestly say that the breakfast at Jacaranda Lodge was the outright winner. Produce fresh from their lands and homemade, could not be faulted.

We had a fantastic stay at the Jacaranda Lodge. G and Judy were wonderful hosts. Our kids enjoyed the animals on the property. The rooms were very comfortable and had everything we needed. The breakfast was amazing with so many homemade goodies from fresh squeezed juice to homemade jams and breads using ingredients from the farm. Sitting on the back patio surrounded by beautiful flower gardens and mountains is the perfect setting! The inn is so convenient to town as well- it was the perfect accommodation in Coromandel for our family!
