This place is beautiful, it's like a paradise in the heart of the coromandel peninsula. Driving up towards stony bay , it's signage appears out of no where , and as you enter , the grounds and cabins and cafe area welcomes you . The food is brilliant , the settings are the best I have seen . Very relaxing...

We stopped here for coffee and lunch. Service was great and very friendly. Food was amazing and good value too. We did the 10m walk out back to an amazing river swim spot. The bush was nice too. The swim spot has a deep natural pool and waterfall.

Very well appointed and comfortable cabins with all equipment backed up by hospitable staff, great restaurant and well-stocked bar. Great bush walks out the back door and well placed as a hub to explore the Northern Coromandel - or lounge around if tired or the weather is not just so. The comprehensive cooking facilities, cafetiere etc mean that it is...

The lodges are well equipped and confortable, however you need to bring ALL your own food. Nearest shop is 40kms away! The restaurant/cafe is open at lunchtime for visitors however evening dining there is another matter. It is my belief that this cafe enterprise is run seperately from the lodge buisness ref: booking and visa card payment. On arrival on...

We visited for lunch on New Years Eve. When we arrived we meet a lady at the bar she wasn't overly friendly or helpful. She asked us what drink we would like & when we said we would like lunch too gave us one menu to look over at the bar(there was 4 of us). We ordered our drinks &...

After a long and winding drive up towards the top of the Coromandel we came across this haven...in the middle of nowhere. The place is lovely although isolated and all we wanted was a coffee, but a very helpful staff member talked to us about the place, how it came to be, the owners interest in keeping the wilderness for...

Our friends recently got married and had their reception at Tangiaro, after getting married down on the beach. It was a beautiful, relaxed and fun setting and the food was great! We arrived late Friday night and found the facilities to be very clean and modern. Everything that we needed was supplied in the cabins making it easy to prepare...

We came here for dinner one night around New Year's Eve, when the Coromandel was flooded with rain. The road to get there is winding and on gravel or clay; so plan to take your time getting there. First of all, I'm glad that this place exists, so I don't want to trash it as a matter of course. I...

This was an amazing place to stay on honeymoon. Very clean and modern log cabins which were very well equipped with robes/slippers/full kitchen and laundry facilities/spa bath/comfy bed. Had lovely outdoor private spas in the bush which we could use at night. Heard kiwis calling. Lovely walk on property and beach 5 min drive away. Opens up late in mornings...

“A lot of mosquitoes once the sun goes down so pack plenty of repellant as your sleep might be disturbed. Also an electric fan as it was very hot and close when we were there. Make sure you fill the car and take anything you might need with you as Port Charles has nothing at all that you can buy including fuel and it's miles from Coromandel Town or Collvile.”
