This B&B was the highlight of out trip. We had a great swim, enjoyed the lake and scenery. Carline and Roy were very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was the best ever. We would love to return for a longer stay!!! Jan, Pauline and Bill

We had planned to stay at a hotel in Yarmouth for the night but the town was full. We found this B&B through Doers and Dreamers and would never stay at a hotel in the summer again, knowing this place is here. The owners were welcoming, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the area and the grounds of the property are...

This place is amazing! Carlene and Roy are two of the nicest people you will ever meet and the home they have created is truly a relaxing oasis at the lake. We lucked out on getting a room as they had a cancellation the same day we called and it couldn't have been a better ending to our vacation. Highly...

we were cycling for over 4 hours, and before that 2 whole days to get there. And then There it was, in the woods on a beautiful lake, set over it like a frank Lloyd wright building. We jumped in the lake--ahhh. Then we could appreciate the grounds, the lodge like elegance, the sheer comfort and peace of being in...

This lovely property is a veritable paradise. It is situated on a hill overlooking beautiful Mink Lake, just 25 minutes outside the town of Yarmouth. It is a quiet, peaceful and luxurious experience. The hosts, Roy and Carlene, are charming and genial. They spare nothing for your comfort. The beds are great, the towels and sheets are exceptional, and the...

We had been to several very good B & Bs in Nova Scotia but the setting for Water Wood was genuinely stunning. After the first impression when we met our hosts we realised we were in for a treat. Carlene and Linda bonded on artistic matters and Roy and I on 'boys things' such as sailing etc. The acommodation was...

A friend visiting from Germany and I planned a road trip to see the glorious colours of Autumn. We decided on an inland route, travelling on the 340 and 203 in Yarmouth County and booked Water Wood B&B which is located in Carleton where these two roads intersect. Everything about this place is magical and charming…..the drive through the woods...

My husband and I found ourselves in Carleton, Nova Scotia for a family reunion, and needed a place to stay. My uncle mentioned that their was an inn on the same lake as the reunion, so I called and made a reservation at Water Wood Inn. Usually when we travel, I will spend hours researching different lodging possibilities; after extensive...

From the moment we walked in to Carlene and Roy's home, it was like being with family. A beautifully decorated home with clean rooms and spectacular views. We were staying our final night in Nova Scotia and decided to stay just a little ways out of Yarmouth prior to catching the NovaStar to Portland, ME. It was one of the...

Water Wood is a gem... a charming place, inside and out, tucked away in such a charming location. We totally enjoyed our stay; just wish it could have been for longer than one night. We'll definitely stop there on our next trip to Nova Scotia, only we’ll have to stay longer in order to take in all the artwork and...
