Stayed for 2 nights and wanted to thank the owners Alison & Lynsey for their great hospitality. Thanks for the warm reception (when was the last time you checked into a hotel and they did not even have to look up your name?) to the specially made kedergee, the comfy bed in the newly refurbished rooms, thanks for the tips...

Near the Spey River is a secluded piece of heaven on Scottish soil--Fairwinds B & B. Lindsay's good humor and warmth and Allison's gourmet cooking are unquestionably world class and superb. The rooms are spacious and warm, and the sitting room and dining/reading room are a perfect place for music and a good book. This is the perfect place to...

This was our first stay at The Fairwinds Hotel and we will certainly be back and have already recommended it to others. Alison and Lindsey were excellent hosts making us feel very welcome. Lindsey's cooking is to die for and my waistbands certainly couldn't survive more than a few days of her delicious breakfasts. We enjoyed meeting many of their...

Been there twice in two years and plan on going back next year. After a long day of touring the countryside, golfing, or scotch tasting along the whiskey trail, walking into the Fairwinds is like walking into your own home--except everything is already clean. Great common area with a great selection of local spirits. Huge sun room. The rooms are...

My partner and I have been visiting Fairwinds several times a year for a long time now. We love the setting and the fact that we are entertained by red squirrels and birds who feed just outside the dining room. We have also seen deer in the hotel grounds on a number of occasions too. Once more we have to...

Just returned from 2 day stay at Fairwinds. Room and food excellent..Alison and Lindsay were the perfect hosts. Made to feel very welcome. Our room was spotlessly clean and breakfast was superb. Lindsay's homemade pancakes at breakfast were fantastic. Idylic setting and we were entertained at breakfast each morning watching the red squirrels. No hesitation at returning in the future...

We arrived late, well past dinner time, but the owners still made us a meal and looked after us like we were family. The food is first class right down to the home-made shortbread in the bedrooms. Great location for exploring The Highlands. Run by very nice folk.

We were very pleased to have found this little gem of a hotel. The rooms are warm, clean and comfortable. The food is extremely good, and is served in a large conservatory surrounded by beautiful gardens containing red squirrels and abundant birdlife. The hosts are extremely friendly. (As this is a small hotel run by only 2 people, it helps...
