We were looking for somewhere to stay whilst returning to my birthplace. We chanced upon Maplestone Hall and were so glad we did. It was perfect-furnished beautifully, stylish and comfortable and we were treated to a fantastic breakfast. Most of all, Richard and Michael were the most warm and gracious hosts. We hope to return very soon!

Stayed at the newly renovated Maplestone Hall , it has two new owners from London (Richard & Michael) who have made great changes since I was last there, a huge improvement! The tastefully newly decorated rooms are very cosy .They have all the modern amenities you can think off : small fridge, free Wi-fi, flat TV and great hospitality trays...

Lovely, clean, welcoming...highly recommended...shepton mallet is not a great town in fairness but the area where the B&B is placed is spot on to explore bath, wells, bristol etc...differently from what stated in other reviews avoid at all costs the dusthole (pub closeby) and just take the car and go elsewhere...

Owners are very welcoming. Pretty little courtyard garden and gorgeous stone built weavers cottage. Lovely big bedroom with very comfortable bed. Lovely cooked breakfast. Owner (Donald I think ) was very friendly and gave lots of info on area and places to eat which was very helpful.

We were returning guests; having business in Wells, wanted to be based there. After a rather unpleasant first night, we were very happy that Donald and Jill could accommodate the three of us at short notice. We had a quiet and perfect night's sleep, with everything needed in the rooms, including fresh milk. Donald ensured we were well provided for...

We really enjoyed our stay in this charming beautifully restored stone cottage. Our hosts Donald and Gill were friendly and attentive. They were able to direct us to places we might find enjoyable to visit and also gave us helpful suggestions as to where to eat (Blostins was great) Lovely breakfasts all in all a very pleasant weekend

Nicely renovated old building, very pleasant hosts in a lovely old town made for a enjoyable couple of days as we passed through. A choice of nice restaurants in walking distance adds to this B&B. Shelton Mallet is great base for exploring this part of England.

Wonderful: Hosts Bedrooms Showers Breakfasts Would definitely like to stay again if I'm in the area. Shepton Mallet itself isn't overly charming or exciting but Maplestone is an excellent base and there is a great pub just down the road for an evening drink after a day exploring Somerset.

Nice clean and comfortable room, friendly and welcoming hosts. The location of the Hotel is in a quaint area of mainly cottages.Ideal for a drink in the local Pub which is just down the road. Although I visited 'while away on business', I am very tempted to visit again, for a long weekend, and bring my good lady!
