We had such a wonderful stay at De Pelikaan. It was perfectly situated to be very close to De Koog and to De Burg, and was a 5 minute bike ride away from a stunning nature reservation. We did admittedly decide against venturing too far for dinner, and had dinner at the hotel both nights of our stay. No regrets!...

I rented a two-room apartment for three nights - for those traveling by car well-located and with plenty of parking space. We were assigned an apartment on the ground floor next to the parking lot and we feared a lot of noise, but actually it as quite all of the time. The apartment had a small kitchen which all amenities...

We booked thru Groupon and had a fantastic 2 nights deal included Bfast. We loved this hotel, really quiet place, nice room ( we had a comfort one ) with wifi, nice pub on ground floor, we tried the restaurant 1 evening as they had good reviews, food was plenty, good deal for the price of the 3 courses menu....

We were three friends that stayed in the hotel for one night, and for what you get it was fine. It is a bit away from the town, de Koog, but we were aware of that and didn't mind. When we arrived the bar was closed, but when we asked in the reception we found out that it was because...

On the face of it and from their web-site, this place has all the elements that make a quality 3 star hotel compliant with international standards - furnishings, decor, restaurant, bar, large car park etc etc., but in my opinion, although it may match up on many points it lacks that extra something – charm and personality. First impressions are...

The hotel is advertised as being in De Koog, but it's important to know that it is actually 1.5km outside of the town of De Koog. Also important to understand that there are two types of rooms: hotel rooms and apartment-style rooms. The hotel rooms are like 'normal' hotel rooms, with bedding, towels and come with breakfast in the hotel...

We spent three lovely days in this hotel, including New year's eve 2013. The hotel is large, the rooms are nice and spacious, good lightning, big bath room in "deluxe' room, huge bath and a nice view on New years fireworks from our window. The food is very good, the restaurant cosy, the staff helpful and friendly. I would rather...

The hotel is quite large and somewhat impersonal. The rooms are clean and spacious, (we had a deluxe room, which has a nice large bathroom). Although undoubtedly with good intentions, the smell of disinfectant cleaners in the corridors is quite overwhelming and leaves the impression of a hospital or nursery home rather than a hotel. Breakfast is really nothing special....

Stayed here at the end of July with my son on a cycling holiday. The hotel is really quite large. The public spaces are modern and well-presented. Our room (2 single beds) was very small with a tiny bathroom and a shower over the bath. The single beds were very narrow. We ate in the hotel. The menu was short...

The hotel is clean, good size rooms and a comfortable atmosphere. The upkeep of the hotel was to a high standard. Breakfast was good quality. Free WiFi. I enjoyed the hotel and its accommodation and would stay here again. There are several issues that need to be addressed however to change the hotel from good to excellent. There were no...
