We chose this because it is small, well located and is quiet. All are true; its location is fabulous and it is very quiet. It is a old ambassador's residence with lovely views, beautiful artwork, bowls of fresh fruit and an old world charm. But it is not a hotel it is a B & B and could be much...

Beautiful small hotel right next to the promenade. The terrace outside the room was perfect for sitting and taking in the view across to the next island. Great location just minutes away from a range of good restaurants and within easy walking distance to the marina and more places to eat and drink. Ceiling fans in the bedroom struggled to...

Stayed a couple of times at Casa del Embajador. Great place to come and wind down and relax. The hotel is small and quiet (no kids running around!) with direct access to the promenade footpath and 2 minutes walk to the old town. Clean, comfortable rooms. Peaceful terrace where you can relax and soak up the sun. Good breakfast served...

A completely different experience of staying in a commercial resort. No noise, unless you count the orchestral music gently playing in reception. The staff move around discreetly and silently. Breakfast is served in an enclosed courtyard and although adequate, is served in fairly small quantities. The honesty bar allows guests to drink at any time, noting their choice on a...

Peaceful small hotel with exit directly onto shoreline footpath. Most of the rooms are on the ground floor with the terrace right outside. So if you're a bloke (or am I not allowed to say that nowadays?) you can climb through the casement window directly onto it! Or for elegance you can walk through the decorative wide corridors picking up...

A wonderful place to stay. 30 paces from room to promenade (yes I counted) but a world away. All you can hear are the waves crashing against the shore. The whole experience is so relaxing despite being right in the resort and it's bars and restaurants. The staff and owners were a joy to deal with. Understated but effective and...

The hotel is a perfect couples retreat. Peaceful enough to stay on the sun terrace all day, perfectly placed for evening walks for dinner and drinks. Simple rooms - nothing fancy - but clean everyday and filled with everything you need. The hotel staff are polite and friendly and helpful. We were really looking forward to finally staying at the...

Hidden gem in Playa Blanca. Location is best in Playa Blanca with easy access to beach, restaurants, bars and shops. No need to hire a car, everything is on your doorstep. Accommodation is clean and tidy with spectacular views across to Fuerteventura. Will definitely return, 10/10

This lovely place is more of an upmarket B&B than an hotel but it is excellent. Not that cheap but the hotel is in a fabulous position looking out to sea and, as has been said before, it is a little oasis of calm. This is a place for grown-ups. Very few knobs and buttons but everything you need. Comfortable...

“Request bed type (double/twin) on arrival. The owner is happy to juggle rooms where possible, especially in quieter periods.”

“This is a wonderful retreat for couples. If you want to relax and read a book and just relax and enjoy being together -this is it. The suite room is the only one that has doors onto the terrace but obviously costs a bit more! All the rooms are somewhat dated so don't come here if you want modern luxury. And those of us who love Lanzarote style and pace are happier if you don't! This place has the soul of the island all over it. ”
