We had a lovely three night stay here at the end of our trip around Andalucia. The owners and staff were all very friendly and welcoming, while still giving guests space and privacy. We stayed with our two young kids and felt very welcome (the owners themselves have two kids). There were some toys for kids by the pool, and... More

Peace, tranquility, history, architecture, this place has it all. It's more than that though, its a very well run hotel which doubles as a family home. We were passing through and could only stay one night, which was a shame. Next time...

A wonderful hotel and a real classic of Spanish buildings. Little to fault it - no - can't fault it. just lovely, very relaxing. In the middle of nowhere. Olives as far as the eye can see, well, up to the Siera Nevada anyway. Delish food too. All good.

A lovely, lovely place. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel at home and very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble and the owners, Sylvia and Eilko were so friendly, as were all the staff, and they took time out to greet all their guests every evening during dinner. The food was superb and the dining area... More

Where to begin? My wife and I had our wedding blessing at the Cortijo del Marques in September 2016 and it was simply the most amazing experience of our lives. Although we decided against a wedding planner due to not having many guests, the owners Eilko and Silvia made life so easy for us and catered for our every need.... More

Really great place. Worth the long dusty drive up a dirt track to find it. Stayed in the Granary - probably one of the best hotel rooms I've ever stayed in. The no-choice dinner menu was excellent as were the wines. Friendly proprietor and staff. Loved it!

Set in a sympathetically restored farmstead 4kms from the motorway, the Cortijo de Marques is a family owned and run place to either hole up by the pool and relax or to explore the countryside from. The owners are very attentive and helpful. Rooms are spacious and individual, dining/sitting room is cosy as the evenings become cooler. Staff were all... More

We visited this weekend for a friends wedding and were absolutely taken away at how stunning the venue was. The rooms are unique and huge. The owners and staff are so friendly and the food provided was very good. The scenery is like no other, beautiful and silent. Could not believe how fantastic this venue is. The swimming pool is... This is our third visit and will definitely be back. We stayed in a more modest room, La Zarza. However this was ideal and had everything we required. A really relaxing location but near enough to Granada for day trips. Pool area is really tranquil. Food was excellent and served in an informal environment which we just love. Even went... More

This country hotel is 30 minutes drive from the Alhambra palace and located within olive groves some way outside of Granada. Exit the highway at exit 108 and do not confuse the small country road to the Cortijo at the roundabout from the other one way exit ramp from the highway - you will almost certainly need a GPS to... Thanks for your comments and praise. One note on getting here. As we specify in all confirmation emails of reservations, we actually recommend AGAINST using a GPS to find us. There is only one access road to the hotel, but some GPS systems try to send you via some farm tracks which are difficult to pass in a normal car.... More
