We were in room 3427 which was a suite with some ocean view. Photos are attached. The suite was very large with two separate balconies. There was nice furniture on both. There was a bathtub behind the headboard and a double shower in the bathroom....More
As the title states, I had mixed feelings about this hotel. I would have preferred to stay in some smaller boutique hotels, but we were attracted to this one for the beach access and views.

I visited Vilalara Thalasso resort the second time. Everything fullfilled my expectations.
The staff is very friendly, the spa excellent, the breakfast board extraordinary, the rooms
well designed. The location just at the private beach is comfortable.
I recommended this wonderfull place to everyone.

This really isn’t a sprawling resort hotel so I think you should be ok. We had a room which overlooked the only small heated pool and was near to the spa, and it was approximately a 5 minute stroll to the restaurant. The beach is accessed by a lot of steps which is likely to be a bind with a pushchair but worth it when you get there. Beautiful hotel - we loved it there.

I didn't know what's customary in Portugal so we used the general UK rule: 5-10% depending on service. Usually I try to use cash direct to the individual rather than adding to a bill when paying with a card.
