This castello has some charm but don’t be fooled by this. There were extra costs we identified after we booked this for our 2020 wedding. Due to a serious illness we were for forced to cancel our wedding plans. We informed the property management team as soon as we became aware, approximately 4 weeks after we booked. We had paid a significant deposit for which they only refunded 30%. They retained the deposit knowing our situation and following multiple email exchanges where we appealed to them, they refused (even on a compassionate basis) to give us the money we badly needed for treatment. They put their own interests ahead of their guests. Please be aware of this if you are thinking of getting married in this castello, their priority is profit, not people. Couple of other points: * Stairs to the pool is a death trap * You must rent all areas to have exclusivity of this venue. We felt this was forced upon us with no clarity on pricing or what would happen if we didn’t. * When we viewed the venue they told us the total cost and that it would be a 30% deposit. However the contracts broke the cost into 3 separate fees, two of which had a 50% deposit, forcing us to pay more up front. * The castle is not for guests to stay in, there are live in caretakers * Some rooms are in need of repair * There is no a/c and its extremely stuffy * Beds are like concrete blocks * There are absolutely no food or drinks options unless you buy them and bring them in yourself, adding to costs * There is not enough seating in common areas so you’ll have to add in costs for hiring something for your guests to sit on

My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights whilst attending a friends wedding nearby. The long winding road up to the location was an adventure, but as soon as you get to the accommodation.....wow!! The views are beautiful and the accommodation is everything you would hope Tuscany would be. It is surrounded by vineyards and beautiful hilly scenery. The apartment itself was clean and tidy, with a self catering kitchen with all the basics you will need. The bed was very comfortable. Be prepared for it to be a little warm in the rooms as there is no air conditioning. This did not bother us too much. The staff are very friendly and extremely happy and helpful. We paid extra to have breakfast which was worth every penny. A wide selection of continental breakfast and freshly made coffee and omelette by the gentleman serving breakfast. He was very nice and friendly. The breakfast area is in a beautiful old building with very relaxing music ideal for a chilled wake up. We did not get the opportunity to use the pool as the weather let us down for our stay. It rained most of the stay and was a little chilly. However the pool looked very clean, and overlooked the beautiful Tuscan vineyard and countryside. I wold advise anyone staying here to hire a car. The location is very remote and the cabs are expensive as they come from Florence city. The nearest town with restaurants and shops cost 40 euros one way in a cab. Definitely hire your own car, nothing is walking distance. Overall a beautiful and enjoyable relaxing stay. Would highly recommend.

We stayed here with our family a few years back. We were happy then and we were happy this time, too. The staff is very helpful and nice. We were 2 couples, each couple had their own bath. The kitchen was good size, well stocked with dishes, glasses and pots. We found everything was clean. We fell in love with one of their cats, Figuero. I would give one suggestion, put a microwave in each unit. I would absolutely go back.

What a perfect stay. Yes it was pricier than many in the area but we felt like we got more than what we paid for in the end as we were upgraded from a traditional room to a villa! What an amazing surprise. Travelling in early May has its perks! We had a beautiful kitchen, living room with the most lovely furnishings, bedroom views of a beautiful green courtyard directly in front of the castle and a short cut to the pool which we had ALL to ourselves every single day. Really incredible! We will definitely be back.

We loved visiting Castello di Bibbione. The property is beautiful and the road leading up to the house is unbelievably beautiful! We had the property basically to ourselves and the ladies that ran the place were so accommodating. I am looking forward to coming back!
