Nice relaxing hotel with pro and cons. We felt torn. It’s a renovated hotel which offers high class chalets (own houses with sauna), newly renovated SPA and great kitchen. The kitchen received rewards and for that has high dinner prices. The breakfast ist diverse and you can order what ever you want! The SPA is located on two floors with saunas, lot of relaxing areas and an indoor pool. However our double bed room was a standard room without AC. No room has an AC, even suites not. Further the cleaning service was soso. No fill up of shower gel and changing of towels. Some rooms are refurbished, but not all. We spent before some days in a different 4S hotel and can only provide 4 stars here. The price performance relationship is not fair in our eyes. We think that the Owner want to create a luxury resort, however they only did it for some areas. There is still a way to go. All tourists needs to be treated the same, cause we all pay high prices and expect same quality.

My weekend trip at Relais & Chateau Gut Steinbach was a little highlight! The service at the reception, restaurant and breakfast was always attentive and very friendly, so I felt well taken care of by the whole time. Breakfast was great. The varied selection of regional products was a treat and the freshly prepared egg dishes and porridge with fresh berries a wonderful start to the day. A special praise to the chef who conjured up true culinary delights every evening. The seasonal and regional cuisine inspired me – every dish in the menu was lovingly prepared and of excellent quality.
I booked for myself a double room for single use with balcony and view of the red deer, which offered me enough space and exuded a cozy alpine atmosphere. Everything was clean and functional so I felt completely comfortable.
The location of the hotel was perfect for me as an active nature lover. Right outside the door started wonderful routes for biking and hiking. I could park my own bike in the garage without any problems and safely. After an active day in nature, the cosy wellness and spa area was ideal for relaxing and recharge your batteries. In the garden you could wonderfully enjoy the last rays of sunshine. Really nice I found the proximity to nature and animals that the estate radiates.

We were in the house for an extended weekend and wanted to do something for the fitness and rest a little in the wellness area. The hotel is nice, the service of the staff very good that eat too!! But the selection on the menu meagre only very small Afri Cola and all at very salted prices. The house is open for dogs, unfortunately there is carpeting everywhere and when the wet dogs come, that is not really hygienic, especially since the carpets in the rooms are not really cleaned!!
But what really spoiled my stay was the gym, there are raves about state-of-the-art equipment, a Peloton ergometer, you have to register just like on the stepper and a rowing machine, that was it. Now there are a few dumbbells up to 20 kg. BUT no bench or anything else to lie on or sit on for chest and other training, nothing, just a few rubber moves for people who don't want to train!!! And as close as that is to 3 adult claustrophobia. The whole thing I found quite outrageous, then please do not decorate with feathers that are not present.

We were given a voucher for a Grüner Stern gourmet weekend including dinner. We had our first disappointment when booking...we would have had to pay around €300 for this (but the voucher was already worth €680!)...it was then explained to us that this voucher would only be billed as a value voucher regardless of the originally agreed service becomes! Then I don't need to offer such vouchers... We then booked a weekend with just one dinner...the extra charge was simply cheeky for us! The hotel is OK. The wellness area is actually very nice! Stayed in one of the chalets for three nights. Fully equipped with everything needed for a long and wonderful stay. Comfortable in every way possible. Large bathrooms with all the amenities. Siting areas inside and outside (two patios). Very private and very quiet. Large sauna in the chalet. Outside of town – follow the directions. A deer park and Yaks across from the parking lot. Multiple ski jumps at the rear of the property. Breakfast is plentiful, service outstanding, very typical for Tyrol. Dinner is in multiple rooms all in typical Bavarian wood style. The dinner experience, with the Christmas decorations and menu to match the season, was spectacular. Wine prices are reasonable and look for the values from Baden. Service with everyone you encounter is friendly, with multiple languages spoken. Great experience in every way.

Exceptionally beautiful hotel in a fantastic location. Very good food, friendly staff, good service in all areas. The spa area is very classy, spacious and clean, the outdoor area with a view of the mountains is also simply fantastic, and there are now large parasols that offer plenty of shade - and a swimming pond with crystal clear water. What surprised us a little was the choice of colors and the quality of the bathrobes. But I would particularly like to highlight the treatment with Ms. Daffert-Somsich.
