We booked standard room and breakfast, it was an odd room with odd furniture, we had two bright plastic children's lamps by the bed, bed base covered in old velvet, window netting curtains too short, curtains made from towels, shower was broken so you had to hold it while trying to shower. I suppose some may call it quaint, I... More

We had lunch here on April 24. The bad: service! The waitress woman was incredibly rude, and we would have walked out but were very hungry. She refused to even try to speak English or help us at all with our order. I would rate the service and ambiance a -3 if possible! The food was OK. Beer was Luke-cold,... More

Easy to find, with a satnav. Opposite clock museum. From Furtwangen everywhere in the Swartzwald is accessible. Free bus service for tourists, but time constraints obviously. You really need a car to be flexible, but many many sharp bends on trips to Triberg, Freiberg, or everywhere, really. Great selection of wines and beers which are much cheaper than Ireland. Well... We were visiting the nearby Faller factory (husband keen on model trains etc) and found this hotel nearby. The room was fine, comfortable beds, bathroom was very old fashioned but clean. The shower has a huge step up into it so needs care. Free wifi and parking. We ate out so not sure how food at night was but breakfast... More

We stayed at this hotel in August 2013, about a year later since the latest review here in Tripadvisor. I believe the hotel was renovated and\or owners were replaced, because this hotel was the best we've been to during our entire trip to Germany! We were given a big double room with a mini bar (drinks are free) and a... More

Do not stay in this hotel ever, they should condem it, very rude staff. Broken beds, live wires hanging from ceiling. Food not fit for pigs let alone humans, all ground floor windows opened wide every day so any one can climb into your room and steel

Steve and Michelle. We have Just returned from this hotel and whilst we have to agree with some of the comments all ready stated,we think the marvellous views compensate for the hotel by far. Yes the room was small and old worldly, the same for the bathroom but it was clean and the beds weren't that bad.We really enjoyed the food... More

This has to be the worst hotel we have EVER stayed in.Rooms were not clean, bins left to over-flow ,basins and shower trays not clean and a dog allowed to sniff at a food trolley. There is no lift and elderly people expected to carry luggage up to the 3rd floor with no help. The owner/manager has to be the most dictatorial bombastic... “Our room over front entrance was fine ! Don't know about the rest. But the back rooms must be quieter obviously. No problem with car parking, which was free. Free WiFi reception good. No Swimming pool or fitness centre, but we were not looking for either.”

“Our room was facing the parking lot and was very quiet. We paid 70 Euros for the room we booked through the Internet [including free minibar drinks], and 50 Euros for every additional night we stayed [minibar wasn't refilled].”
