Another( our third) great stay in the Rockypop hotel Les Houches. Rocky has a unique welcoming exterior with its Cinema style lit up entrance as you arrive you know you’re staying in a laid back cool hotel. Really friendly staff at reception, and serving breakfast and dinner. Our bedroom was super clean ,well equipped and decorated with Rockypop touches throughout with a very comfortable speaking bed. The breakfasts included in our very reasonable nightly rate have all you need hot and cold buffet style including really nice french cheese and meats. You can help yourself to hot drinks all day long in the bar/ restaurant free of charge and the bar itself is a vibrant one with Happy hours, special cocktails and live music nights. We ate dinner in the restaurant 3 out of the 5 nights we stayed and the service, food and drinks were excellent. The Wild Boar tenderloin was amazing I had to have it twice, the Savoyarde burger super tasty and great pizzas. All the waiters and waitresses were lovely and particular thanks to Marco for his wine recommendations and to Ann Sophie for just being so welcoming. We hired our skis directly from the hotel meaning you just go down 1 level to the ski shop and everything is ready for you including really warm storage lockers. The ski buses stop literally a few metres from the hotel whether you’re heading to the Les Houches lifts or into Chamonix. Rocky is great for families, friends and couples alike and has such a relaxed atmosphere everyone just mixes in together at the end of a days skiing. We love Rockypop.

Very satisfied with our stay at Rocky pop where the welcome is warm. The mezzanine room is very cozy and very well soundproofed: a real little cocoon where children could create real little hiding places! Cleanliness impeccable Ideal location, very well connected by public transport. The meals were delicious and varied with a special mention for the Marco waiter who is particularly nice and very good contact with the children. I highly recommend!

When you first arrive you get the impression that this is a cool hotel. It looks well kept from the outside and the funky artwork and decor is fun and welcoming. The staff were friendly and check in was easy.
The bar area is funky, the gaming area and decor helps create a good atmosphere that my daughter particularly liked.
The room is funky with its split mezzanine levels. My daughter loved the layout of the room, the colourful carpets and the beds. Everything was clean and there were plenty of towels.
The movie system accessible from the TV was a little sketchy. I had it cut out half a dozen times when watching movies. I had to unplug the TV from the wall to get it to reboot back to the Home Screen. Not the end of the world but annoying all the same.
All that said, a star is lost for a couple of points. The room was very warm, reading 23.5 degrees on the thermostat. The HVAC in the room was off meaning that the room could not be cooled, which meant it was uncomfortable. The economic option would be to open the window right? Not if you are in an inside room at ground level with windows opening into the gaming area. Not only does it get quite noisy out there, the windows are at the perfect height for visibility and access. Meaning that the curtains were kept closed, and the window could not be left open. Perhaps the hotel should consider security film on the glass at this level to give the guests some privacy, and windows that could be opened for ventilation but kept secure. I will also add that having to keep the curtains closed meant the room was very dark as the lighting is more for aesthetics/ ambience than practicality. I would consider staying here again as as it is a cool hotel, but I would be requesting an outside facing room.

The room seemed small, even though we upgraded. The design of the hotel is particular, let's just say we didn't appreciate it. Dark, red, red phone, small bathroom and tainted WC. Most importantly, we took a double bed reservation and we had two single beds that were joined. Quite noticeable and uncomfortable.
The service is nice at the entry and the hotel offers a lot of amenities. Just as we left we were running a little late. The hotel staff legitimately called us 3 times from 11h00 to 11h05. Distasteful.
One more thing, the hotel seems to lack parking space and the parking is organised in such a way some cars can't leave without others moving.
At least we saw Mont Blanc.

Dear M. EBELLE, First, I would like to thank you for having chosen the RockyPop for your recent stay in the Chamonix Mont-Blanc valley and for taking the time to share your experience. Your feedback is important as it enables us to continually improve our services and allows us to better serve our future clients. Please be assured that I have carefully read all your comments. Our room are from 15 to 17 m2 as we mentionned on our web site and confirmation of reservation. All our bed in the hotel can be made double or twin, we do not have only double bed. My Team called only once to let you know that is time to check out it is our procedure. Once they reached you, they didn't call you again. Concerning our parking, our client can park in double place and leave their car key at reception in order to move them if need to. I hope that despite these few inconveniences, you will be able to place your trust in us again. Do not hesitate to contact me a few days before your next arrival so that I can personally ensure your comfort. Kind regards, Sabrina Blasco, General Manager

The room was little bit small size and the breakfast was good but not many varieties, the hotel was overall good but not worth the paid value It’s far from Chamonix and certainly you will need a car, car parking available on site it would be a good option for short stay

You like it or you hate it. We liked it. The concept and the whole experience are just wonderfull. Many objects referring to our childhood made us instant happy. In comparison with other hotels, a stay at Rockypop is not cheap. It's obvious that the price is determined by the setting where you're in. However included in the price, you may expect a very friendly and english speaking staff (always available, rushing and running for the guests. They are a real added value for the hotel, for sure ), clean (but small double ) room, a tasty breakfast (small minus, the pancakes and bacon were most of the time not warm) free mineral water, free coffee and tea non stop, nice smelling shower soap, parking, games, pool table ...
We loved the diner, juicy hamburgers, pizzas, but also more highstanding dishes available on the menu. Congrats to the kitchen for their flexbility (our son ordered an "oriental" without olives and eggplant and so he received his tailormade sample) and kudos for using home grown vegetables in some of their other dishes. After having walked or hiked, a homemade cocktail helps you to forget your tired feet (go and grab your -50 % happy hour drink between 17h-19h)
The hotel is respecting the covid measures, which made us feel safe and comfortable.
We'll come back if we're in the neighbourhood. Tx for the offered hapiness !

A group of 4 of us booked RockyPop for a girls ski weekend away through Heidi. Situated between Chamonix and Les Houches, if you want a slightly quieter location out of town, the RockyPop is ideally located. We were disappointed the hotel shuttle was no longer running as advertised when we booked it but the public bus service which ran every half hour and stopped right outside the hotel was reliable enough. You can time the busses by downloading the Chamonix app. The rooms were exactly as advertised, roomy enough, spotlessly clean and comfortable with a really nice en-suite bathroom and lovely view over the mountains. The food was good, breakfast in particular and the staff friendly. Use of the tea coffee machines and water dispensers in reception were nice to avail of. Some cakes/biscuits on a platter would have been nice after a long day skiing! The ski hire shop downstairs provided excellent quality equipment, some of the best I have ever hired, and again really helpful staff. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the Rockypop for a family holiday or friends get away if you don’t mind going the extra mile with bus trips.

The hotel has a good location with easy parking; it takes only 5 minutes to get back to Chamonix. Rooms are small, and the bathrooms even smaller, but the comfort level is acceptable. The hotel overall has a special social and community atmosphere. On the other hand, some restaurant staff are not able to communicate in basic English, and food options for people with intolerances or vegans are very limited. I liked the free drink corner and the high-quality internet connection.

Spent 2 nights alone to discover Chamonix and its majestic scenery The hotel is an excellent base camp: the rooms are comfortable, well equipped and very clean. The common areas with very nice Pop decor are functional and very well maintained (nice the coffee corner available free of charge for customers) The restaurant rooms and the bar make you want to linger. Free parking behind the hotel and free shuttle to Chamonix right outside the hotel And the view of Mont Blanc, just magical! All in a very respectable price range for the quality and services But above all the very big strong point of Rocky Pop: such a warm welcome like we don't see enough of in France anymore! A relaxed and caring team, without fuss but without ever compromising on customer service! Thank you to all the members of the staff (at check in/out, at the bar, at the restaurant) whose smile and friendliness do a lot of good. Well done I'll be back :)
