We stayed here for one night before starting our Tour du Mont Blanc hike the next day. Our room was not large but was quite comfortable, and we were able to get an interconnecting door with the other couple we were traveling with, which was nice for communication between the two of us. The location was fine, near downtown Les Houches and only about 10 minutes walk from the archway that is the unofficial start of the TMB.

The food was amazing - for our dinner we had a choice of several dishes. My husband and brother-in-law shared the raclette, which the reported was amazing and almost too much even for two. I really enjoyed the potatoes/ham/cheese dish, and we all had wonderful desserts. Breakfast the next morning also had multiple options and was quite enjoyable. Overall we loved the food and variety of choices and were disappointed that none of the rest of the hotel food measured up. We highly recommend the hotel as a place to stay (and eat!) before starting your TMB journey.

Stayed here during a TMB hike. Chalet style hotel with wood paneled walls. Small indoor pool, lobby fairly spacious but doesn't have much seating. There's wear and tear and scuff marks on door frames but overall very clean. Only two pillows although you could ask for pillow cases as there are a couple of bigger ones in the closet. Room is a bit stuffy, patio/balconies are nice, looking out at the mountains or lawn and greenery. There is a restaurant and bar. Location is about half mile outside of center, an easy walk. Closest bus stop is St Antoine (took the hotel days to get back to me with that info prior to my arrival however - it seems no one here knows what the names of the bus stops are and you'd think this is pretty basic info). Bed is two twins put together, a bit soft but not too bad. We were able to get into our room around one o'clock which was helpful as it was a Monday, rainy, and just about everything in town was closed. No coffee/tea making facilities in room. Lighting not good. There is a bar and restaurant. Breakfast is ok, with good croissants. In the middle of the night there was a power outage - seemed like for the entire town. Came back quickly enough - something that had never happened before.

Great Hotel where we have stayed many times. This time was made even better by the welcome given by the lovely young & friendly, Uruguayan lady on reception.. unfortunately, I forgot to get her name.. Very nice. Thankyou, Merci y Gracias.. I am sure that she will remember.
The hotel is great, with a nice pool, free parking, and in the centre of Les Houches.
Harrys bar is so relaxing for a late evening drink..
If I can make a couple of little suggestions... please keep the bar open later, and supply tea/coffee making facilities in the bedrooms.
However, overall it is a lovely hotel. Thankyou

The "double bed" is two mattresses pushed together with a sinking gap in between

I was given a room with an adjoining door, there is no sound proofing so i did not sleep due to noise from the next room until 04.30 am.

I took both of these issues to the staff who showed me an alternative room with no balcony and a view of the car park. Still no double bed. Just an added layer on top of the mattresses was offered

After 2 nights of no sleep i have offered to leave this hotel for a partial refund and 1 full nights notice, or at the very least suggested that they can refund the difference if i take the room with no balcony - Everything is a NO.

I have never dealt with such a level of greed from any hotel before. If there is a problem, usually the hotel and customer can resolve it together. In this hotel they just take your money and any problem is your problem.

Other smaller details - the view of mount Brevant is a view into somebody's chalet, you have to keep the curtains closed for any privacy

The breakdast is 13.50 and includes no hot items. Very basic and expensive.

Dear Madam, Thank you your feedback, but it is not exactly what happened. Let us remind the fact: You arrived at your check in the first night and you were already complaining because of your neighbour saying that you could hear him so you were unhappy. The fact the "famous neighbour room" was empty the first night you were staying at the hotel. The next morning, you came down saying that you didn't sleep well because of the neighbour and the matress. The receptionnist, showed you a room side Mont blanc massif -the only one that was available but good point as the room is isolated because it's the last room of the corridor- with mountain view, but you weren't happy because there was no balcony -differently at what you had requested: she explained to you that this room was 10EUR more per day so it wasn't a downgrade and you complained because you wanted the view on the higher floor with a balcony. We had no more room of this type available. Then we added a mattress topper to your bed which you confirmed was ok. You have been in contact with the accommodation manager at different steps during your stay even if you didn't know who she was and you have never asked to meet the General Manager. Finally you came at the Reception asking for reducing your stay and being refunded of your non refundable booking.com conditions. We replied that it was impossible being convinced that such a review like you wrote was anyway about to come. Thank you for matching our forecast

Stayed one night at start of TMB. Got put in a small room facing the highway. Not much of a view. Rooms are beat up and a bit depressing. Bar was understaffed for happy hour. Friendly staff at Dinner and the food was good. Breakfast was a disaster. We arrived at 8:00AM to find the entire dining room filled with dirty dishes from the early arrivers. Food was depleted. One lone worker trying to stock the buffet and not keeping up, and no one was clearing dishes. Another staffing or poor planning issue. The only time on the TMB I paid for breakfast but ended up not getting much of anything.

I stayed there several nights with my 4 year old grandson. Chalet full of charm, very comfortable and quiet. A very nice swimming pool in a cozy atmosphere.
Attentive and attentive staff listening to customers. A nice breakfast buffet. Hearty dinners, regional dishes that can be modified without additional price.
An efficient shuttle that takes us from the gondola.
An address I recommend.

Stayed here as a family for 2 nights at the beginning of a TMB excursion. Rooms were clean and comfortable, staff were friendly, breakfast was a buffet with a reasonable selection of stuff. The bar seemed a little short staffed: one lady struggling with the overhead of conveying dinners from the kitchen to the outside tables whilst also serving at the bar. I would consider it again though. The pool is indoor and it is fairly cold: there are doors to the outside area but they were closed and locked when we visited it even though it was approaching 30C outside - perhaps that was lack of staff too.

Room had balcony, was clean and warm with comfortable beds. Would definitely return.

Zuricj Airport is about at 4 hours drive from this hotel (if there is no traffic between Bern and Zurich). The best way would be to go to Geneva Airport and to take the train between the two airport (about 3 hours), or to get a flight from Geneva airport.

I would always recommend that you pre book. You can use one of the online rental sites, prices are always a bit lower than in the shops.
