Hotel was fine, albeit a bit busy. Very cramped, with typical French aplomb, we were roundly ignored. Hotel was great for what we wanted, a budget hotel. whilst visiting Disney Paris. It only gives me the option of saying we visited in December 2019, but it was actually August 2019.
We've stayed at Kyriad Marne la vallée Torcy during our trip to Disneyland Paris. Honestly, for the price we have paid, we are satisfied. The hotel has a private parking which is utterly covenient and this is complimentary (in the streets around the hotel you have to pay). The room itself is very basic, but all was clean and the bed is OK. We added breakfast next morning and this is fairly good (the chocolate rolls and croissants are good, coffee is made with beans). Check-in and check-out fluent. We arrived around 9pm after a long day at Disneyland Paris and Disney Village and honestly you do not need much more for one nights sleep. In the surroundings of the hotel, there are plenty of restaurants at walking distance. Good value for money!
The hotel was chosen purely on location and the cheap price. It was clean but don't expect any extravaganza. Good parking possibility a plus. The hotel is rather dated, so ok for one night but if you are staying in the area for a longer time I would spend some more money for a higher class hotel.
We had originally booked a twin room for 2 nights for myself and son at the Campanile in Torcy. I then received an email to say that the Campanile would be closed during July and August but they would transfer our booking at no extra cost to the Kyriad. The room actually had 3 single beds, in a space designed for one double. It was cramped, with 1970s decor, tatty curtains, and gaps in the paintwork where a mirror had been removed. There was only one electricity socket, and no tea and coffee. One of the bedside lights did not seem to work, until on the second night we pulled out one of the beds to find the switch behind it. The shower adjustment was broken, so my 6 foot tall son had to hold it above his head. The towel hook was above the toilet, which is not hygienic, and the air conditioning, although turned up full blast, made no difference on a night when the temperature was in the high 20s. Breakfast was not as extensive as I am used to at the Campanile (although this may have been due to Covid). The pillows were as hard as rocks (one actually felt as if it was full of rocks). I paid the same price for this as I would have done at the Campanile, and yet in my opinion as a regular Campanile customer, it was worth less than half. Admittedly it was very convenient for Disney, but I am aware of other hotels in the area so location will not make it for its appallingly substandard accommodation. I should in hindsight have cancelled the booking and gone elsewhere.…
Made most welcome at reception, room was comfortable. Took dinner in the restaurant which was reasonably priced and enjoyable. Included breakfast was good with plenty of choice. Handy for RER station to Disney.
