Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

booked 2 rooms on-line, no problems, close to the motorway, rooms clean, good showers, TV, kettle with tea and coffee in room. not the best soundproofed rooms, very thin walls, good parking. reception staff very good, some English spoken. about 2 km into town. food was above average for the type of place it is, it is a Motel first remember, with a restaurant to support the Motel. breakfast was very good, you will not go Hungary, dinner is also pretty good, with set price options to suit all, including children. Bar prices a bit above average for us it was about a 7 hour drive from Calais, and a ideal Stopover point. We would stay there again

I'd rate this as good rather than very good but thats the rules! Bizarre looking hotel from outside (I think a lot of Campanile's are like this but I've never stayed in one before). It reminded me of a dodgy motel from an old American film. Seperate reception / restaurant block and then 2 blocks of rooms all accessed externally from balconies. The rooms were a pleasant surprise. Small but perfectly formed. Decent bed and shower (over a bath). Wind down blinds so very very dark! The breakfast was typical French fare and of a high standard. The evening menu looked fine but we chose to eat elsewhere each evening. Not the sort of place I'd normally go for but fine for a couple of nights.

We had trouble finding the hotel using the incorrect map from booking.com. Trip advisor shows the correct location just off the motorway. The room was great; compact, but modern and very clean. Good shower, also facilities for making a hot drink. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Not having stayed in a Campanile before, I was impressed. Less impressive was the restaurant. Service was slow and the quality of the food very disappointing. We decided not to bother with breakfast.

After a 9 hour drive we arrived at the new generation campanille. As fans of campanille we were keen to see the changes. The new look reception bar and restaurant were impressive and very modern with a good choice of food and drink. The rooms had had a make over to include a wet room effect bathroom, however it was still the same campanille square box rooms as before but with a few soft furnishing changes and a bright green plastic hanging wardrobe thing in the corner. Plus a flat screen TV. WOW. Good location for jumping back on the motorway to continue our journey.

I was curious to go to this Campanile, because it is one of the "new generation" establishments, and I was very happy with just about all of the changes. The rooms are much lighter than in the older Campaniles, and they have done away with the generally useless double entry door. The flat screen TV was good, the wifi worked just fine and the new bedding was cheerful and comfortable. The only thing that I did not find to be an improvement was the renovated restaurant. I found it very sterile and it felt more like a hospital cafeteria than the friendly beamed restaurants of the older Campaniles with the wooden tables and chairs. Too much plexiglas and metal in the new version! Extremely convenient access from the autoroute and easy to drive into Riom from the hotel.

Riom was our first stop in a one week / 2000 mile tour of France. This Campanile set a very good standard for those to come. The staff spoke relatively good English, it was really wasy to find from the motorway and Riom is only several miles away and lovely for a look around. Having stayed in many Campaniles, we thought the cleanliness was of the highest we had seen.

Very easy to find from Motorway, rooms lived up to Campanile quality, but reception was disappointing, spoke a little English and unable to accommodate family in neighbouring rooms, so had one on top floor overlooking building site, and one on the ground floor. That said all very clean, and safe and secure. Ate in restaurant and food was good. For an overnight enroute hotel this was very comfortable.
