Very spacious room facing the Abashiri Lake, amazing scenery. The dinner was delicious and well prepared. Breakfast is very nice too. The location of the hotel is not very far from the town, easily accessible by car, taxi or public transport. Definitely one of the traditional Japanese hotels you must try while you are in Abashiri.

I stayed here in Autumn at the start of a tour of Hokkaido. The hotel is on the shore of Lake Abashiri, and is a Ryokan style inn with excellent food, and a really great Onsen. Perfect after a hard day's bushwalking (or in my case hird-watching)

We visited a lot of traditional onsen hotels in Japan and this one is quite nice in the hardware such as nice hot spring baths, spacious rooms and magnificient view of the lake. However some details of services are not as up to the standard with the other similar hotels. We arrived by car to the entrance but there was...

This is by far the most spacious room I have stayed in during my Hokkaido trip. There are 2 single beds on one end, then extending into a Japanese style living and dining area. I was pleasantly rewarded with a breathtaking view of the lake. Japanese tea making facilities were available in the room together with a flask of freshly...

Had a room overlooking the lake and had the best kaseiki dinner in my stay in Hokkaido. Dinner was fit for a king (to me) was laid in the room. The lady that served us helped to place the futons after dinner. She did every thing with such precision and professionalism. Am impressed. Love this place and their hospitality. Hope...

We stayed in this hotel in September 2009. The rooms were extremely comfortable and well furnished. We had opted for a Type A semi European / Japanese style room, with twin sofas, 2 large-enough single beds, and an attached western style washroom. The view from the large windows was fantastic; it was the best part of the place. One could...

We chose a Japanese room - non smoking - and were extremely pleased with our choice: the rooms were quite spacious and the view was stunning. The meals here were sublime: from the never ending, quite traditional, banquet dinners, to the expansive choice at breakfast, from Japanese to some absolutely delicious little croissants. Even the lunch we ordered in our...

The rooms are rather spacious and ours had a stunning view of the lake. There is also a small balcony where one can take pretty good shots. We had a Japanese set dinner which had a lot of variety. The food was too much to finish though. The breakfast was decent but not fantastic. Our room was quite cold (we...

Definitely a good location for the view but a little way out of the town. The hotel, based on reviews really did not live up to expectations, the Kaiseki meal we ordered, while good was far too much and we felt guilty leaving quite a bit of it (18 courses at last count) and the breakfast was passable. The room...

If you wanted to experience a traditional Japanese breakfast and dinner. This hotel offers a good one. We truly enjoyed both. The onsen is big, clean and spacious. It also has a outdoor onsen at 40 deg. We were not able to get a non smoking room. Unfortunately they didn't bother to air it. The WiFi is terrible that even...
