The sultans palce has to be on everybodys schedule doing acsightseeing tour through stonetown zanzibar Its a é floor building an someone can imagine the wealth once reigning there Rearding this long history, there are only 3rooms left with substantial objects of the Sultanat. Impressive even with small content.

Excellent owner and Manager Paola provided us with a great service. The stay was very nice and the rooms were perfect. Our only complain was that we were expecting to do some activities like diving, but they don´t offer any. Still, completely recommendable

This was our first holiday in over 4,1/2 years, further more we were holidaying with our 18 month year old daughter, (obviously her 1st traveling experience, and ours with a child). All these new stresses, worries and responsibilities of life were lifted from our minds immediately on our arrival at the Sultan Palace Hotel. As with everything in life it... More

We are a family of 4 living in Addis Ababa. We visited sultans palace with my dad and our two young children. The hotel offers a great beach, large pool, lovely rooms and great dining. We liked the outdoor lunch on the beach and appreciated Paula's attention to detail hy giving us a room near the beach so we could... More

Really, really amazing little unique hotel. Great food, great service and just by the sea which you overlook from most rooms. It's a "honey moon" place and for adults. I would not bring children. Only little thing to complain about would the the beds, which we found a little too hard (but we normally sleep in soft beds) - so... More

Firstly, the location of the hotel is lovely, on a cliff with an essentially private beach and an infinity pool. The main building is beautifully designed and with lovely touches like board games and billiard table. There are several things about this hotel which were good: service, pool, afternoon tea and a friendly owner. However, we felt that, for the... More

We spent a lot of time trying to decide where to stay in Zanzibar post safari. One requirement was that the place had to be air conditioned and that it had a good beach. We chose the Sultan Palace and we were not disappointed. It was about a one hour ride from the airport very close to Breezes. Upon arrival... More

We stayed here with our 3 kids. They loved it, and so did we. From the white beach to the great pool, and the fantastic accommodation, we were more than happy to have discovered this magical place. The patience of the owners and their obvious care and pride in their hotel is an indication of what you need to make... More

We stayed at the Sultan Palace with a group of friends in February after a fairly strenuous safari in the Tanzania game parks. We had booked six nights to recuperate and initially were worried that this would be too long a stay for us 'active 50-somethings'. However, our fears were completely unfounded as we absolutely loved every minute with Paola... More
