It's the little things. Stay was okay, but a bit pricey for what you got. A full breakfast would have made things better instead of a toast, muffin and coffee. Room could use a refresh and the towels are ready to be rags.

Staff were friendly - that seems to be a given in Nfld!

I travel a lot with my children for sports and this Inn was the worst so far. The cleaning staff was great and the cooking staff did what they could with the amount of people they have.... Which was unstaffed.( which with the amount of rooms that was booked they knew they needed more people working). It all boils down to the office staff. I was quoted a price and then when I got there they charged me more. They said it was a mistake that I was told the wrong price. While I was there I dealt with two different young people in the office. Both who did not give me answers and didn't get back to me like they should have. i was repeating everything I said. So, no one was making a note of the issue.... Meaning it was just being ignored!!!! I will never stay here again. The hotels in Clarenville have a sports rate and have more amenities and charge less. I have learned my lesson on this place.

The staff at this inn made my stay memorable, always a smile very attentive
The food was wholesome but a bit more variety would be good a few rice and pasta dishes perhaps,a little bit too meat and potatoe for me.

Arnold’s Cove Inn was a memorable experience, unfortunately for all of the wrong reasons. I am not generally a negative minded individual but it is of my opinion that Arnold’s Cove Inn deceives customers with the way they present themselves online. This was by far our most expensive stay in Newfoundland yet by every metric our worst. More details below for those interested.

The first thought turning into to what they refer to as an “Inn” was : “I think we are at the wrong place” which set the tone perfectly for the remaining of the visit. The “Inn” is a bunch of trailers put together most of them grey, drab, and deprived of any charm with the exception of a few units outside of the main trailer emulating the jellybean appearance of St-John. Although being in Arnold’s Cove and having a picture of the local warf on their website, in reality you are deprived of any enjoyable view of the town. In fact, the location is fairly isolated. After getting our key and walking into our room, the temperature was set below 60F, which is frigid and unwelcoming, but luckily could be adjusted up to 86F. First, the room is incredibly small with barely enough space to breathe, keep in mind they call their rooms “deluxe”. After entering what is essentially a walk in closet, it didn’t take long to notice drilling holes in the furniture, chipped or water damage on the night tables, improperly set floors with gaps between some of the planks, wires coming out of the wall, small but noticeable stains on the pillows, crooked bathroom shelve, stains on the wall, not a single firm receptacle, and finally toilet paper so thin that you can see the outline and colour of your hand when holding a sheet. Despite clearly putting in our reservation that we were two adults coming for the night, we only had one body towel which was brown in colour and seemed odd. After a quick google search, towels in hotels are white so they can bleach them, kill germs, and throw out any towels with stains or mold. It looks like this place went on Marketplace or Kijiji to find everything they have for the lowest price possible and it shows. For example, every coat hanger is wildly different, why is that? Why not just buy a bulk of the same one for uniformity? If you’re entering the hospitality business, then it is in your best interest to pay attention to details and not cheap out on everything including toilet paper. Again, this place was 170$ for the night and you can get something far better for far less, well pretty much anywhere.

The only redeeming factor is that the staff was friendly. The staff did offer us another room, but every issue listed above was still at play with the exception of the size of the room itself. They honestly seemed sympathetic to our situation as if they know themselves what this place truly is. Kudos to whoever designed the website, you got me. I hope anyone reading this review considers another spot. As for the this place, I hope they take this criticism seriously and improves on the delivery of their service or at the very least, adjust the prices and become more accurate in their marketing.

Stayed one night Aug. 2121. Given a rate- your- experience sheet when we checked in. At 10 pm the place was locked up , no staff on premise for the remainder of the night. At about 11pm alarms went off, rang for 20 mins. Called the contact number on the sheet given at check-in, no answer, left message, no callback. Could have saved the $150 and slept in the car.

The staff was ok but certainly not like staff in most of the hotels or b&b's that we stayed in. The room was not secure. Bathroom sink did not drain properly, light was out in the bathroom. We had to ask for towels. We would not recommend this place to anyone and the charge for the room was the same as if you stayed in better places. This place should not be recommended in the Traveller's Guide.

We were traveling to Trinity from St. Johns. When we stopped for gas and asked for a place to have lunch the attendant suggested the restaurant at Arnold's Cove Inn. While not much to look at the staff was very friendly and we had a great meal of fish and chips (the chips were particularly good) and homemade apple pie. In addition, the prices were tough to beat. I definitely suggest this as a stopping point if your looking for a quick pit-stop on your way out from St. Johns.

This is a motel, not an Inn, however it provides good value. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. The restaurant has good home cooked food. The staff were amazing, both friendly and helpful. We were leaving early in the morning before breakfast was starting, so they left coffee and muffins for us. An excellent spot for an enroute stop.

This place was awesome with all the comforts of home. Great view and very clean. The owners made me feel like have been friends for a long time.
You walk in to the room at ground level and then can go out on the deck to enjoy the amazing view on a second level.
The kitchen has everything you need to cook just about anything.
I was able to visit the dock down the street and purchase fresh lobster.

Ordered pizza for supper- cardboard box pizza complete with the 'chunks' of ground 'meat' found on other frozen pizzas. Had asked for mushrooms on top and had a few canned mushrooms thrown on top. Threw out 3/4 of the pizza as was horrible. Worst meal on our two week trip but one we won'the (cant) forget!
