Stopped in banana for the night in the van & wandered over to Banana hotel for dinner. I have had a few meals while travelling australia & their ‘angry bird’ (chicken parmigiana with garlic prawns, avocado & hollandaise sauce ) would have to be one of the best, if not the best meal I have had. For a little town out of the way, you have a great hotel/motel. Whoever owns it should be very proud of themselves. Friendly staff, very clean. Keep up the good work 👍
Easy booking and on arrival after a long days drive in the heat the airconditioner was going and a pleasant 18c. Rooms clean and well appointed, Devondale UHT milk and 2 packs of Arnotts biscuits in the fridge with a good kitchen to work in Only thing I would have liked is another pillow but that's personal preference $130 a night is reasonable for out there in the bush and a chicken parmi with chips and salad is $28 from memory Well done ladies and gents, it was a pleasure
The room was comfortable and well supplied with toiletries and even dishwashing liquid. The dining area feels more like an upmarket restaurant with table cloths and fresh flowers, which was a nice surprise. The portion size was huge and well presented. The vegetables definitely needed to be cooked longer as it was hard to even get my fork into them to pick them up, and raw chunks of red cabbage are never a good idea. Apart from that the t-bone was cooked perfectly and the chicken parmigiana was tender.
I spent the night there with my family and our two little dogs. The room was clean and the steaks were fantastic. My daughter had a lovely time playing with some children in the play are. So all in all it was a delightful experience.
Had a lovely meal here. Very generous serves. Good service and clean family-friendly facilities. They have recently added a nature play area outside for kids too. Good drinks prices and large variety available with attached bottleshop too.
