Stayed at the Garden Retreat, which was a self-contained two bedroom accommodation on the ground floor of a house in a nice garden. Very near the lake and a short distance from the village centre with all the restaurants.

We stayed at Lucy's patch for a night in March. The staff is very helpful and gave us tips to do during our stay. Lucy's patch had 3 bedrooms so was quite big (since we were just two of us) and the house was very clean. The main reason we stopped at lake tekapo was for its clear skies and...

Marys Hut is absolutely fabulous, first class and beautifully furnished with everything you could possibly want from a home from home BUT and this was the sad thing. Once upon a time Marys hut would have had amazing views, but not now, they have built a pair of semi detached bungalows in front and now the view has gone, you...

So on our New Years Trip to South Island we had to spend Christmas Eve at Lake Tekapo. Needless to say the location is stunning but since there was absolutely nothing available we ended up renting the huge Panorama house for our two and half people family. But it was an experience for our daughter from running around on the...

We stayed 2 nights in PUKEKO PALACE, a spacious but rather old house. It has a great location in walking distance to the Lake Tekapo and the Old Shepherd Church. You get the key at the office which is only 100 m from the house. The house has three bedrooms, a large living room, a nice terrace with barbecue, washing...

We stayed in the Garden Cottage which had a view of the lake, mountains and Church of the good shepherd. It is a 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom cottage and very quaint. I can only describe it as it feels like it is straight out of a Disney film. The gardens are beautiful, literally across the road from the footbridge to...

My husband, daughter and I stayed in Top House at Lake Tekapo for 3 nights during our trip around South Island. We were asked to settle our payment on arrival and had an unexpected 2% credit card surcharge added (however, I did later see that the surcharge was mentioned on the booking site!).Perhaps we had been spoilt by the standard...

Hi Patty, Thank you for your feedback, we're glad you enjoyed the lovely location. Top House is very much a family property and used regularly by the owners with their energetic children. We keep it modestly priced so other families also find it affordable and can relax without worrying too much about keeping it pristine. During the very busy spring/summer...

It's our 1st visit to NZ back in last Nov and Lake Tekapo was our 1st pit stop of 17Days trip! We booked Notre Maison Du Lac for 2nights stay and it was faultless! The property was situated at the higher end of the slope which gave us fantastic views of the lake! Supermarket, restaurants and petrol kiosks were just...

The area is beautiful, the little town is lovely but the accommodation was very ordinary to be honest. Review by Barbara L pretty much sums up my thoughts as well.I would not stay here again, very disappointing.

Hi, We are sorry your accommodation experience was not great. When it is really busy over the summer the nicest properties are booked months in advance. There is an acute...

We have been in New Zealand for over 2 months now and without doubt this is the worst accommodation we have stayed in. The lodge we were allocated was very run down, torn curtain linings, stained carpets, wallpaper and floor coverings coming away. Kitchen and bathroom seriously outdated, furniture too, everything had a grubby feel to it. The washing machine...

Thank you for your feedback. The property you stayed in was the cheapest and indeed the tiredest of the 45 holiday homes we manage. It was possibly also the only property available when the booking was made as it is the busiest time of the year. Up until the last year there has been a place for older budget homes...
