Sandra and Neil made us very welcome, with lovely provisions for breakfast, and were a font of knowledge about the area. The cottage was in a wonderful setting and extremely comfortable with a well equipped kitchen and comfortable bed.

We spent a delightful 4 nights at the Clive Cottages. The cottages were cute, clean and nicely appointed. The owners, Neil & Sandra were friendly and hospitable. Location was perfect nestled close to surf, golf, wineries & apple orchards. We will hopefully return to NZ and would be thrilled to return to Clive Cottages and enjoy another opportunity to relax...

Stayed in one of the one bedroomed cottages, superbly equipped, first breakfast laid on (cereal, eggs from their own chickens, etc). Neil and Sandra are excellent hosts with information about everything in the area. Napier, Havelock North and Hastings are each only 10 minutes away and you are in wine country! Cottages are well screened from each other and private...

Our cottages was very comfortable with a fully supplied kitchen (including eggs from local chooks).. the bed is the most comfortable yet on our travels here. The cottage was spotlessly clean and just a really pleasant place to be. The beach is about 5 minutes walk away and good for walking. A very good Thai restaurant is just up the...

Just four self contained cottage style properties in a secluded garden setting. Very well equipped and reasonably spacious. Games room with books and DVDs, good BBQ area. With all the surrounding space it's quiet and would be safe for children. Owners were great - provided eggs from their own hens and honey from on- site hives. Could not be more...

We enjoyed our stay. A very comfortable well appointed cottage with a quiet but handy location for activities in Hastings Napier and Havelock (as well as Clive). Our hosts were helpful and friendly. Great first day breakfast ingredients were included. Very reasonably priced. We would definitely stay there again.

Just outside Napier, close enough to go by car or taxi for dinner, a perfect cottage to be autonomous when on a long stay. Everything is well designed, nothing missing, good sense of design and privacy. Everything seems thought for your confort. A WOW ! for a night and even more for a few ones like we did. Very warm...

We were a large family that stayed during the last week of Decemebr 2016. We were completely satisfied by our stay.Even my Dad who is critical about things was extremely happy with the rooms, the well maintained gardens, the flowers and the fruit trees around.Sandra and Neil had taken all efforts to make sure that all facilities were provided. Thanks.

We stayed in one of three purpose built 2 bedroom units. When you come to the door you walk through a lovely scented jasmine arbour by a fountain and a formal garden. (This property has other kinds of units.) The unit we stayed in had a small kitchen with everything we needed (and provisions to cook your own continental breakfast...

Hi Edward, Many thanks for your thoughtful review, its always great to hear what guests have loved about the cottages, and what we may be able to do better to make their stay even better. Thanks for your comments.. we understand your issues with the luggage storage in the bedrooms for those that dont like to put their clothing away....

We arrived at the cottages feeling a little jaded after a lot of travelling and were immediately impressed with how peaceful and tranquil the setting is. I had been a little apprehensive following the pictures on the website that the cottages may be a little too close together but the layout is very well done so that each cottage feels...
