Songbirds is located in a very quiet corner of Tamborine Mountain behind the Gold Coast. There are a small number of cottages on the property as well as a restaurant and bar. Songbirds is snuggled into the rainforest and the verandah of our cottage opened into the rainforest canopy. The accomodation was roomy and comfortable with a faux open fire... More

Awesome food, wonderful environment, peaceful and tranquil, great service . A must do! I Booked our wedding anniversary lunch at Songbird Rainforest Retreat. Wanted something different. Booked for a 12 noon lunch. Arrived from Sydney late as our flight was delayed. Rang to say we would be two hours late and the response was "not a problem" . We considered... More

I left this place with mixed emotions and unfortunately will not recommend. The accomodation was beautiful and relaxing. The restaurant was a treat with scrumptious food. The disappointment was Customer service. I've never paid that amount of money to stay somewhere and be treated like we did. Our waitress for dinner called me a pig, um.......she was trying to be... Songbirds Rainforest Retreat restaurant must rate as one of the best restaurants we have visited in many years. Although the location is a little remote, the food is exquisite! From the entrée to dessert, we were really impressed. Highly recommended. We will be back in two weeks time!

This place is absolutely beautiful. I took my girlfriend here on one of our first dates and now she is my wife. So lads looking to impress start here and you could be in with a chance. Not only is the decor and running water background amazing the food actually matches it. Definitely one of the best on the Coast.

I recently enjoyed a fabulous weekend at Songbirds Rainforest Retreat - I won a weekend package which included one night's accommodation, massage, dinner with wine included, Moet and cheese platter on arrival - lucky me. Retreat is the right name for Songbirds as it is tucked away amongst native bush. Our cottage was amazing, beds oh so comfortable and we... More

My wife and I were treated to a night here by our children for Father's Day. On arrival Leanne went through the check-in procedure very professionally. We found the unit was nicely presented and cozy, with the gas fire lit. In addition there is also a large split Ac for the summer. The balcony has a lounge along with a... More

My husband and I stayed there in July for our Honeymoon. It's a lovely place to stay surrounded in the rainforest. The rooms are warm and cozy with the wood fire heater, spacious and was cleaned everyday. I especially loved the L'Occitane products, it's not very often you find good products within hotels. While it was all really great, i... More

A tranquil setting with exceptional food and service. We dined here for a Monday lunch for a birthday. The service was fantastic. The food was also 5🌟. We had a two year old with us and we were able to keep her entertained by wondering through the gardens watching the birds between courses. Thanks again for a great day we'll... More

impressed, amazed with finding ourselves in the middle of a rainforest, filled with exotic sounding/looking birds. Cabins were tasteful, private, peaceful, well maintained and appointed. Staff very accommodating. Excellent chef. Had the great pleasure of meeting owner Bonnie Rodwell. That alone was worth the tariff.
