This place is absolutely amazing. We stayed here during a 3 month round the world trip and it was our favourite place we stayed. The hotel is small, intimate and welcoming. Although small it doesn't have that uncomfortable feel that you sometimes get in very small places. The staff can not do enough to help - whether its recommending and...

In June after doing the North of Argentina, Piet and I ended our vacations in Lares de Chacras, Mendoza. Beautiful cosy boutique hotel, outside of the center of Mendoza, but still close enough. Besides having a very comfortable room, with a king size bed, a jaccuzzi, and the view to the gardens. We actually could have breakfast outside our room,...

Beautiful, tranquil lodge, welcoming and very helpful staff, magnificent squash soup. After two months of traveling Bolivia, I really appreciated the comfortable beds and the luxury at a very reasonable price. Highly recommend!!

Friendly, young and competent staff, always ready to help you and give you suggestions. Good location if you´re interested in wine tours (as I was). Quiet neighborhood, almost rural, but with some activities and restaurants nearby. Negative points: - the room was overheated at night, I had to keep my window open (the temperature outside was around 0C) - bathroom...

Mendoza's wine country has come a long way in the last decade. There now is a Relais Chateaux hotel (Cavas Lodge, >$500 US/night) and, for those of us who prefer someting almost of that caliber but much less costly (<$200 US/night), Lares de Chacras Lodge, We arrived at 11 PM and the staff made us a nice dinner even though...

We were recommended this hotel by our travel agent and it was first class. the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly from the moment we stepped in the door. They organised two days of visits to vinyards with personal knowledge of what we would find at each. The room was spacious with proper space for a couch. It had a...

We spent 3 nights at Lares de Chacras which is located in a suburb outside of Mendoza. From the moment we arrived we felt extremely welcome and we would rate the staff as the warmest we encountered on our month long trip through Argentina (which is saying something because we encountered some fabulous hotel staff on our trip). The rooms...

On our "roadtrip" across Argentina we we're going to stay at Lares one night, and pick one to stay at in Mendoza for the rest of the nights. But needless to say, we loved this place so much that we decided to stay all of our nights here and taxi back and forth to visit Mendoza. And after being in...

The staff at Laras de Chacras offer attentive and warm hospitality. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our sojourn at Laras. The B&B lnn is centrally located. Many bodegas are just a bike-ride away. Be sure to not miss Clos de Chacras - lunch by a beautiful millpond while sipping wonderful wines and gourmet cuisine. Salud!

While many travelers suggested staying in Mendoza and venturing out from there, we opted to stay in the more rural setting of Chacras de Coria, an upscale community 30 min. south of Mendoza in the Lujan de Cujo wine region. We couldn't have been happier with our decision which is largely in part to the owners and staff of Chacras...
