Visited here last year for 2 nights. What a place this is. The indoor stove was already lit upon arrival and a member of the team gave us a tour of the grounds and info on how to sort the fire wood. The cabin itself...More

We stayed for three nights in total at The Duck's Nest cabin, having only booked for two at first. The site is a really peaceful, secluded location but still near enough for Aviemore and the other Speyside/Northern Cairngorm attractions to be accessible. You get a...More

Thanks so much for your kind words. You were our ideal guests, appreciative of the greater and the smaller ways in which we attempt to make folk feel welcome and as secluded as they want to be. You will have seen that the male waterfowl...More

We visited the lazy duck for two nights whilst holidaying in the Cairngorms. We were met by a warm and friendly welcome and found ourselves in the perfect rural retreat! The bothy is quirky and cosy, the perfect getaway from modern life. The sauna and...More

Lovely relaxing place. We had some concerns that the farm animals might be loud but the hens clucked quietly (no rooster) and the sheep just rang their collar bells softly. Enjoyed watching the animals. The lambing bothy was well appointed - including shoes to run...More

So glad that you folks from 'across the Pond' enjoyed your stay. As we said at the time, while having a 'rooster' adds colour to the place we decided against such a noisy idea some years back. Campers especially appreciate just the murmurings from hens,...More

We are puzzled. By deleting the first Trip Advisor negative review from Mr Johnson of your visit and which you posted ten days ago we had assumed you were taking into account the alleged advice from some of your party that it was unwarranted. This...More
