I really wanted to stay in a Castle. It is quaint and they do take you on a neat little ghost tour. The best part was the locals play in one of the ballrooms on Wednesday evening - so we had a lovely free concert with local flair (bagpipes, violins, accordians, etc) ! Having said that, as others have said...

Beautiful old castle with a lot of history behind it and the area. Large rooms, comfortable, great food in the bar and the restaurant. The ghost tour included at night is a must...very charming atmosphere, excellent staff, very friendly.

Rooms ok clean but four poster bed rattled every time you moved. Breakfast ok but most of the ingredients had obviously been under a heater fir a while and were very dry. Ok hotel with friendly staff but not worth 120 pounds.

Castle it's self was very quaint ...... Great history and scary ghost stories to be heard ! The rooms in the castle could be doing with being brought up to date ,the bed its self was comfortable and clean but the bathroom should be refurbished...... Attention should be given to the castle itself as there are some areas a bit...

The rooms need more charging outlets. The hot water in the shower was a challenge; I was not able to get it to temperature. They need to work on their electrical; one bank of rooms lost power and this impacted 5 rooms. Very fast internet in lobby and bar but not in rooms: understandable considering the thick stone walls. Very...

We booked 2 nights' stay at Tulloch castle in August, 2015 from a web search. We thought a stay in an actual castle would be a bucket list event. Tulloch is in Dingwall, about 15 minutes from Inverness and 35 from Urquhart Castle and Loch Ness, so nice rural/village location. Pics were accurate and we booked a family room for...

I need my head examined as had I known the standard of the room we were going to be in I'd never have paid £125 for a shabby, poorly equipped room such as this. Some reviews have already mentioned what we found but to that I can add we had the smallest smelliest shower room I've ever experienced, the fan...

I am traveling every year to Scotland for 1 to 4 times and do some tours, so I already know many nice and not so nice places there. Furthermore I work in the Hotel sector, so I know very well what I can expect for this price. This time the Tulloch Castle Hotel should have been one of the nicest...

In summary, we stayed here recently in one of the larger rooms. Lovely setting, very homely, excellent staff, and excellent food. Understood you cannot change the looks of a historical building too much - and I doubt many would wish so, however the establishment need to adapt some TLC to remove some signage, clutter, and general upkeep. There was nothing...

This hotel did not meet our expectations (based on the cost of our stay), folks. Folks, a hair-dryer was missing, a lamp was broken, our tub was poorly joint (in general, the house needs a bit of a gentle looking after), the staff at the breakfast was not accommodating, and the receptionist did not know whether or nor they would...
