Its always lovely to come back to The Old Manor no matter how long for. This time it was a short stay but lovely never the less with great food and service as always. Must mention Del the restaurant Manager as he does an exceptional job and makes you feel very welcome. We love this place and will return time...

I stayed here as part of a small conference, and was very impressed with the quality of the rooms, the food and - especially - the attentiveness of the staff. I plan to return for a personal trip at some point soon!

I had lunch at this hotel yesterday with 2 friends and was a bit disappointed to see that we were in the lounge, waiting time for main course was over 1/2 hour, one meal had to be returned as it wasn't fit for eating and shouldn't have been allowed out of the kitchen, my vegetables were hard, only blanched &...

I organised a lunch for 70 people and found it a pleasure to deal with the staff. Our meal was excellent value, the food choice and quality were very good, and the views over the Firth of Forth are lovely. The staff were very accommodating to our group (special dietary requirements, showing us how to use the projector etc) and...

Visited with friends and was looking forward to the haddock but disappointed it wasn’t on the menu; the menu bore no resemblance to what is shown on their website; very limited choice; “Real Fish Fingers” headed the menu! – what exactly is “Real Fish Fingers” this is more what you would expect on a children’s menu; another option was lamb...

Took my family for a special meal party of 12 and embarrassed and angry we were told when ordering that some of the dishes were not available. This happened the last time we visited this restaurant. If a hotel provides a menu it should not then inform customers that meals are not available. The service was a little rushed and...

My adult daughter and I arrived early for check in (mid morning) but hoped for early access to our rooms. We had traveled 39 hours (yes we took the looong route) and we couldn't have been better...

Went for afternoon tea which was £13.95 a head, for which we got a tuna or egg mayo sandwich each (not exactly inspiring) a bit of toast with ham or salmon, a 5p sized scone and a couple of Christmas themed novelty tiny cakes. Oh and a cracker and lots of tea or coffee. For a few pounds extra we...

Dear Jeni, thank you for taking the time to post a review following your recent visit. Whilst I was pleased to read that you were well looked after by our staff, I was disappointed to read your comments regarding the afternoon tea - clearly this was not up to the standard we would expect, for some reason, and I apologise...

Afternoon Tea with friends was £13.95 per head for one small sandwich - egg mayo or tuna mayo, one and a half 5cm diameter cold toast disc with smoked salmon or ham on top. Micro scone(!), tiny cup cake, less than one tiny macaroon each and a third share of a piece of soft shortbread. Plenty tea and coffee though...
