I always aim to stay here when visiting family in the area. The owners are welcoming and friendly, rooms delightful, clean and comfortable, and breakfasts excellent. Good value in a delightful location, very handy for Ormskirk, Southport and Liverpool.

We stayed here just one night, before a conference in nearby Ormskirk at Edge Hill University. What a delightful surprise! The B&B is nestled between two canals, in a gorgeous countryside location, and run by a really friend family. The rooms are very smart, with everything you could wish for. Really comfortable beds too! Breakfast in the farmhouse kitchen the...

I stayed here for just one night on business with 3 colleagues as we were attending a conference at the university. Before we even went the owner was really helpful, recommending local pubs to eat at. The place is lovely - 2 of us stayed in an annexe and 2 in the main house. The rooms are quaint and quirky...

Stayed here for one night when attending a wedding at Rufford Old Hall. The room was a decent size, well furnished with a comfortable bed and clean. Breakfast was very good. The bathroom was shower only plus loo and sink but no bath, not a problem but the water has a fixed temperature and was a lot cooler than I...

just stayed 3 nights at heskin farm with family and friends (5 in total) and received a wonderful warm welcome, our stay evolved around going to Aintree for the grand national race meeting, and the location of this property is ideal, away from the crowd but close enough to access Aintree via train (or car if you wish). Superb freshly...

We stayed here for one night at the end of Jan...what an amazing place! Firstly, before we even arrived we had been impressed with the service on the phone, pleasant and easy to book and let you pay when you stay. Really easy to find, the directions on website were spot on. Our room was great, we had the family...

Stayed for three nights whilst working in the area. What a surprise when I found the room was actually a fully kitted out apartment, bathroom/shower, kitchen, bedroom and a huge comfy sofa in the living area. If you wanted you could bring your own food in and either cook it or use the microwave. The bed was really comfortable and...

We stayed three nights while visiting friends nearby. Our 'room' was actually a lovely little apartment with a kitchen, living area, bedroom & bathroom - at a very reasonable price! Breakfast was yummy and freshly cooked for us as we sat around a big table in the family kitchen and enjoyed great chat with our hosts, Charlotte and Les -...
