St Ives is a lovely place and the Dolphin Hotel is in an ideal spot the room was a little bit small in the annex of the hotel but it was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good with an excellent choice if you want the good old English or the continental and the service was good. We had no complaints... More

We visited the hotel on Saturday 24 September for a family wedding - traveling down to the venue, we occupied some time by browsing the reviews for the hotel and we feel, after the event, that some of these reflect an opinion that we certainly do hot share. The hotel may not be ultra-modern but everything was beautifully clean and... More

Basic hotel... with all the essentials, decor is very outdated however and walls are paper thin. But a great location if your interested in walking into the picturesque St.Ives where there are number of great restaurants and bars. Breakfast included in the price which was good, it's also a very good breakfast spread that's provided.

We haven't stayed here for years but always visit when in the area to sit in the sun on the lovely patio area overlooking the river. The food is great, the hot food is displayed at the counter so you can see what you want and is excellent value for money. Both lunch and dinner. The bar snacks are excellent too... More

I had a business meeting nearby and the hotel was recommended by the company. They only had an executive room left but it's wasn't expensive. Four poster bed in the room, huge bathroom and amazing view outside of the window. Also had a great breakfast. The hotel is a minute walk to the town centre. There are boats moored on... More

It looked dated in 2000 when I last went ... hasn't changed since. I appreciate renovations come at an expense but I really feel this venue has masses of potential. Nonetheless the beer was good as was the experience of drinking it in baking sunshine by the river. Can't comment on the food but look as though plenty of people... More

We decided to hold our whole wedding at The Dolphin after our 1st meeting with Assistant Manager, James. He delivered on every promise made and we had complete faith that our wedding would go without a hitch. On the day, James helped in keeping both myself, my young bridesmaid and my groom calm. All of our guests were very impressed... More

However it does have its clientele which are more then loyal to the hotel. It is in a wonderful position right on the river so views are stunning. Inside sadly it hasn't changed in years, or if it has it's been revamped in the same style. Food is standard roasts etc. Staff always seem short on the ground, so be... More
