Wanting a venue to host a Sunday lunch for 51 people, The Dolphin immediately sprang to mind after looking after us so well last year. Right from the start the staff were helpful and friendly, every phone call met with civility and efficiency. Easy to find with plenty of parking, we were greeted by the staff and found the restaurant...

This ended up being quite a treat. I understand that The Dolphin has been serving Sunday dinners like this for some time and survives on service, quality and price. If the décor and ambience are not important, then this is a perfect choice. If they are, then you must run a mile. They open up what must be a conference...

We are a group of 8, from 2 years to 80 years old and called in on a Tuesday lunchtime and had their hot buffet, the selection was great one could choose from brisket in a gravy, vegetable curry, lamb curry, pork in sauce, chicken and mushroom pie and much more it was accompanied with a vast selection of seasonal...

Certainly an acceptable hotel if you are looking for a practical place to stay. Recently renovated bathroom, spacious room, quite good breakfast buffet and good wifi. Not the most charming decor, but certainly a lovely location on the river and away from village noise. Tiny TV and limited channels.

We have called in here just for a drink and ended up eating both times, nice comfy sofas in the bar to sit on and relax, very pleasant and chatty staff. Food was very good, freshly cooked to order, big portion and price was great. Have eaten there twice and will definitely be going back.

stayed for 3 nights, the room was very clean and warm, freezing outside, breakfast very good, staff friendly. Yes some of the decor needs up dating but overall the hotel is a good place to stay. Also visit the Oliver Cromwell for a great pint..

The Dolphin Hotel hosted our Masonic Laides Weekend at the end of October 2016. We booked the venue over a year ago and the hotel management have been helpful with all the arrangements we have asked for during that time. They showed us all the types of rooms, many of which have been beautifully refurbished with tasteful decoration and good...

We held our annual Masonic Ladies' Festival at The Dolphin at the end of October 2016 and we just cannot fault anything about the hotel. We had more than 100 people for the event and I didn't hear a single complaint! The rooms are great, even the ones that have not yet been refurbished; the quality and quantity of the...

I haven't been here for a while but it was an ideal venue to meet friends for a cuppa and a snack. I won't be visiting again in a hurry. Staff certainly need more training in customer care, they were not very well informed and by the looks on the face of the young man who took our order he...
