We stayed at Villa Irene for 6 nights this October while exploring Umbria. Super room with exceptionally clean well appointed bath. Breakfasts were excellent with interesting choices and freshly baked pastries -unusual and satisfying! Irene and her daughter Chiara were accommodating, always pleasant and surprising. Irene had a small birthday cake for me as my birthday was during our stay.... More

We wanted a B+B close enough and with easy access to Perugia so that we could meet friends attending the Jazz Festival. But we also wanted to be near the beautiful Umbrian countryside and Lake Trasimeno. Villa Irene is perfectly placed for this and we discovered exquisite and beautiful villages nearby (Corciano and the villages on the east side of... More

Maria is the hostess caretaker of the villa easy to mistakenly call her Irene but that's the family name. The villa is meticulously kept. The rooms and the entire place is beautifully decorated with Italiana antiques. The breakfasts are to die for, among the best we have ever had anywhere. Everything done with such excellence even the beautiful tableware. The... More

We have stayed here last November and again this October and have not yet found a better B&B in our 12 years of visiting Italy. The owners (Irene and Chiara) are exceptional. They are there when you need them but are very aware of your privacy. The rooms are great and clean. The breakfasts are outstanding with wonderful egg dishes... More

This is our second time here and love it so much. You can't wait to have breakfast! Great coffee and food. If you come during turf season, you will get wonderful little dishes with baked cheese and truffles on top. Always fresh fruit and juice. Irene is a delight. You can purchase local Umbrian wine and sit outside in the... More

What can I say. Brilliant host, beautiful house with full of expensive furniture, silver cutlery, and the smell of the place is divine. It is like in heaven. Can't really think of any bad thing, only the motorway is pretty close but, not a big deal. Breakfast is one of a kind. Highly again highly recommended.

Villa Irene turned out to be a very pretty, quiet, slightly out-of-the-way place to stay for a night. Irene herself is charming--chatty, helpful, personable. She kept me company while I waited for a cab, and I enjoyed our conversation. And she provided a spectacular breakfast--on a beautifully laid table, with a homemade cake, a wonderful omelet, excellent coffee. She was... More

The sweetest hostess we met during our 2 week trip to italy. Irene went out of her way to make us feel welcome , had arranged for a bottle of champagne for our honeymoon and went to the market first thing in the morning to make us a truffle omlette, which was amazing. The room was very clean and even... More

We planned a trip for 12 days in Umbria. The Villa of Irene was our home base to take trips from every day and we found it an excellent experience! We enjoyed our breakfast every day. It was fresh and home made! She really spoils her guests. We had the opportunity to taste, I think, almost every tipical product in... More

We booked Villa Irene for one night at the beginning of a holiday in Italy. Very memorable stay in this luxurious villa with a wonderfully warm and welcoming owner, Maria. Beautiful and sparklingly clean rooms with traditional Italian antique furniture, air conditioned throughout ( in our experience unusual for this age of villa in Italy). Maria provided us with ice...
