Cretaiole is a magical place. We arrived to the most beautiful, idyllic setting I have ever seen. There we met Carlotta who is very warm, friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. We were to meet Carlo, and Luciano later that evening and Isabella arrived from a trip of her own on Thursday. They are all very welcoming and kind people and I...

You can’t ask for a better Tuscany experience! The farmhouse at Cretaiole is amazing – beautiful in every detail and an amazing view. The land around Cretaiole is so beautiful you want to cry! We stayed in a three-bedroom apartment on the top floor and it was a lovely space for the five of us. Additionally, staying in this place...

This was my third stay at Cretaiole, and the second in La Casa del Contadino. Although some improvements have been made since my first visit several years ago, the sense of peace and tranquility remains. My friends and I, all artists, enjoyed the 360˚ visual smorgasbord every hour of every day. Quiet, but not without the lovely sounds of birds...

A beautiful apartment that dates back a few hundred years - equipped with all the modern amenities, but overlooking landscapes unchanged for centuries. A fully equipped kitchen, a lovely sitting room, and bountiful welcome basket. Cretaiole is well situated in the Val d'Orca - easy to get to Sienna, Cortona, and surrounding areas - but you'll find that you really...

I had decided to stay at Cretaiole based on the rave reviews and it definitely lived up to its reputation. Beautiful setting overlooking gorgeous rolling Tuscan hills. The Dolce Vita package is a must. My husband dropped me off and took the rental car to the airport for a last minute flight to NY, so I was without a car...

We stayed with friends in adjoining apartments and utilised a shared kitchen with them. Upon our arrival we were stunned by the amount of food on the kitchen table - part of the Dulce Vita package. Sausages, cheeses, bread, jam, honey, fruit, eggs, wine, milk and more. Beautifully set out bedrooms with their own ensuites. Carlo, Isabella and Luciano welcome...

For one fantastic week we stayed at Cretaiole and it was our favorite stay in Italy. Tuscany is all about the food, drink, gorgeous country views, picturesque hillside villages and the great people. We were especially fond of Carlotta who was our main contact leading tours and handling reservations - she worked tirelessly and was a great person. We also...

We just returned from our second stay at Cretaiole. The location is amazing. The old, yet completely renovated, farmhouse sits on a knoll overlooking the rolling countryside of the Val d'Orcia with a view of Pienza just a few kilometers away. The grounds have a vineyard and centuries old olive trees from which the Moricciani family make both wine and...

Must go. Get the Dulce Vita package - it is worth every penny! Isabella, Carlo & Luciano become family as you do with them. The days are fantastic and the nights with Luciano and his iPad translator, Vino Santo, Limoncello and grappa are a kick. Many options that will make the week fly by capped off with 'Pici' night. EXCELLENT...

My husband and I recently spent a week at La Cretaiole just outside Pienza, and how we wish we could have stayed another week! Isabella, her husband Carlo, Carlotta (Isabella's "right arm"), and Luciano, the patriarch of the Moricciani family made us feel like family from the moment we arrived. Our apartment, La Cantina, was perfect for us, and the...
