We love the Val d'Orcia region, and Castello di Spedaletto is positioned in a perfect location for exploring. The rooms and apartments are charming and comfortable, and Laura was a welcoming and gracious host. The grounds around the hotel are lovely - lots of bright flowers and places to lounge and relax.

Staying at Spedaletto was a remarkable experience. Not only did we stay in the granary of a 12th century castle, but the host family has a working mill right next door where they make flour and pasta! Furthermore, Laura was one of the best hosts we encountered on our trip. She is very kind and responsive, and speaks excellent English....

The only problem here was the a little unsatisfying breakfast. The bread was hard and dry and it lacked of freshness such as cucumber, salad or tomatoes - maybe some fruits too would have been nice. The place itself is awesome. It is quiet and the location is good enough, but 10km from nearest city Pienza. If you have a...

We love Castello di Spedaletto! It's a must on every trip to Italy. The delightful Grappi family who offer rooms at Castello di Spedaletto also offer two fantastic countryside 2BR-2bath apartments, 'Lamone', 6km away on their farm near Monticchiello. Kitchen, large beds, swimming pool, and occasional home-cooked dinners with other guests in the renovated stable. Best of all are the...

The Bio Lake and the beautiful gardens were fantastic. Breakfast was plentiful. This accommodation was a real treat. The history of the castle was so interesting. Beautiful little...

We spent 6 nights at the castle and enjoyed it very much. We had a car and could easily visit places close by. The breakfast provided was amazing and it felt very special to be staying in a castle as old as this is. The hosts were excellent and very welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed spending time in the beautiful...

My siblings and I stayed here for six nights and we loved it. Laura, the owner/manager, could not have been nicer, and the accommodations were first rate. The farm is about twenty minutes from the beautiful town of Pienza, and a little farther to Montechiano and Bagno Vignoni. Terrific meals in all of these gorgeous hill towns. Stay here. You'll...

This is a fabulous place to stay in rural Tuscany. It is picturesque and has lovely accommodation. The room we had was beautifully decorated and roomy. There was a kitchen in the common area which we used to make coffee in the evening. The family running the property are most welcoming. Thé check in gal speaks english and gave us...

The Agriturismo was built in a secondary building of the castle, the old wheat deposit. The farmhouses have kept their traditional charm, while responding to modern needs of comfort and elegance. There are two apartments and five charming double rooms each with their own bathroom. The furniture is antique and rustic, with pieces from the countryside of Siena.
