From the first email from Elena until we drove through the vinyard for the last time, this was a wonderful experience. My husband and I were there for 20 days and our apartment - a huge, one-bedroom that opened to another apartment if needed- was very clean and perfectly Tuscan! It was refreshing to open the window shutters every morning...

We have just returned from two weeks of pure relaxation and joy. We love Italy but have never stayed in rural Tuscany and were a little doubtful that our 5 year old would enjoy the peace and quiet as much as we would. We neednt have worried the minute we arrived Elena and Daniel made us all feel at home...

My husband and I stayed here for a fortnight at the beginning of September, which happened to coincide with the grape harvest season, which was a particularly great time to be in the area. We went as part of a Thompson package. To be honest, we found the directions on La Colombaia's website to be more helpful than the ones...

We have just returned from a fantastic 7 night holiday in Tuscany staying in LaColombai. The flight was troble free as was the car pick up and journey to the apartment, the roads are well sign posted and the directions given at the airport were well written. Having stopped at the local coop for provisions, well cheese and wine, we...

We stayed at "the farm" for 8 days as our Tuscan base and travelled to Florence by train and drove to Lucca, Pisa one day and the Cinque Terra another. It is very easy to get around, the roads are well sign posted and local restaurants and facilities offer very good value. It is a very nice part of Italy....

My husband and I recently visited La Colombaia not really knowing what to expect from a farmhouse in the heart of Tuscany and couldn't have been more impressed. We are a thirty-something couple who were looking for a base to relax and explore Tuscany. On arriving at La Colombaia, we felt instantly relaxed and that we had made the right...

We had a good morning flight from Gatwick, arriving in Pisa at 11.00 o’clock local time. We had a car booked, and was told by our rep Elena where to go and collect. We originally had a Fiat Panda, but asked if we could change to a Fiat 500.....come on this is Italy, this was done free of charge. Suitecases...

Wow, what a fabulous return to such a stunning place. We previously visited La Colombaia in August 2009 and stayed for 2 weeks of sunshine and bliss. We returned to La Colombaia in August 2010 for a further 2 weeks as we enjoyed the location, owners company, laughter, fun and sunshine so much. The trip from the airport to La...

The situation of this collection of apartments is beautiful - set in a vineyard and olive grove with a typical Tuscan village on the horizon. The pool and gardens are lovely. Apartments are clean and comfortable but what really makes this place special are the owners - Danielle and Elena. Attentive, helpful, friendly and caring. Couldn't wish for more. Really...

We stayed at La Colombaia, in August for 1 week as part of a package holiday with Thompson's. Weather was glorious. On arrival we were treated as if an extension of the family. Elena and Daniele are both very welcoming and hospitable people, where nothing was too much trouble. They kindly gave us advise on places to visit locally and...

“All apartments were wonderful and roomy. If you have stair issues, choose a ground floor apartment. Italian beds are firm so if you like cushioned, ask for an extra comforter and put it under your sheet. It worked for us.”
