Having taken the plunge and decided to book a last minute trip solo for the first time, I really couldn't have chosen a better hotel to stay. Albeit it's a little way from the centre of Sorrento (40 Euro taxi ride from the train/coach station - March 2012) it is definitely worth travelling out for the welcome and excellent care...

Peace, Tranquility, Comfort and Excellent Food I suppose my wife and I have been to this hotel over a dozen times and it is always a pleasure to return as one is afforded any assistance required and wonderful hospitality. That is exactly what happened on our first visit there and on all subsequent visits. I have to point out that...

The staff at this hotel was amazing!!! Our luggage had been lost from a flight between Venice and naples. It was late by the time we got to the hotel. The staff at the front desk called down to keep the restaurant open for us to get dinner. In addition, the staff offered to keep checking with the airport regarding...

Loved the panoramic views of the rolling hills and the glistening bay beneath. The iistaff were ever obliging and did every thing the could to make the stay brilliant. The villa was comfortable and very rustic in style....decorated in traditional Italian-esque simplicity, it suited us to the ground. Within walking distance of a few places to eat but in general...

We went there at the end of the season - therefore, even if we booked Villa Romita we were given a room in the Grand Hotel Hermitage itself (villa Romita is actually its smaller annexe). Moreover, as a bonus we had a room with the seaview witout having to pay the usual additional fee. The staff of the hotel is extremely...

Couldn't fault the position of the hotel, and the staff were great. Food was plentiful but a little unimaginative. Health and Safety concern, hotel has fire doors on all corridors but these were wedged open, which stops them closing if there was a fire. We enjoyed our stay, on a package with Newmarket Holidays.

We stayed at the Grand Hermitage for four nights in September 2011for a wedding. The hotel staff are very helpful. We had a room right at the top overlooking Sorrento and Mount Vesuvius - can't get much better than that! Breakfast was good with very attentive staff. The bar was buzzing in the evening and even when empty during the...
