While driving along Highway 106 looking for a place to spend the night we came upon the Hotel Onda Bleu. The exterior of the hotel appeared modern and impressive and offered fenced parking area. The lobby and reception presented a clean and well-kept area. The room was spacious, clean and very functional, especially the modern bathroom facilities. The restaurant offered ample choices and the food, along with the service, was excellent. The TV offered a variety of programs and the free Wi-Fi was up and running. To make things even better was the more than reasonable rate for the room and the meals. We could not have been more pleased with this chance choice of accommodations. The one regret was having the leave the next morning; would have loved to stay a few days to enjoy the service, scenery and the sea. More

Hotel Onda Bleu is a great place to stay if you want to spend time at the beach or if you want to explore the surroundings in the beautiful Calabria. We came here one week and couldn’t have been more satisfied. The hotel is about a 15 minutes’ walk from the beach, so it might be a good idea to have a car since there is not much public services in the area, and also it’s much easier to see the surroundings. Which is must if you come here the first time! We got a lot of good tips, from the friendly staff, about what to go see. For example we went to a little cute town nearby which is called Le Castelle and looked at the old castle from the medieval. We also took a trip to the isola capo rizzuto which is another little town to see and part of a marine protected area. But one of my favorite trips was to Valli Cupe which is an extraordinary naturalistic area which can’t be described in words; you just have to go see it.

The beaches at Botricello were clean and not that crowded...
