Stayed at Despotiko for five days. We loved the area, the smell of the fireplaces all over the village, the narrow traditional road (not so good for driving it -two cars don't fit, but perfect for walking it...). Our room was nice & clean, the bed very comfortable, the hair-dryer was not working but the manager took care of that...

I stayed with my wife in this hotel early December for 5 days. We stayed 4 days in a room in the new wing and then an extra day in the older renovated building. The room at the new wing had a fireplace inside and a very nice view of the pool and the sea on the horizon. The other...

We stayed for one night to rest after a long drive from Alexandroupoli on our way to Athens. The location is a beautiful mountain village of Portaria, the hotel although the road leading to it is narrow, steep and a little difficult to drive up in a large car is a beautifully renovated old mansion with a new wing attached....

My girlfriend and I, spent three wonderful days and nights at Despotiko Hotel in Pelion. It was a lovely change for us to escape from a city with boiling temperatures and enjoy a long weekend in the mountain and its fresh air. This is a lovely property located in the middle of Portaria village, just 10 kms above the city...

Top service from Dimitris - receptionist/ manager! Almost 2 different hotels - old part grand and spacious - new part modern and slick - both excellent. Great breakfast - remember to ask for espresso coffee. A tough approach on the driveway - very narrow. Park at crossoads below or town square if in a large car or van.
