The woman at the harbour lied, told us we were in the center of Fira, which is not true at all. It takes at least 15 minutes on foot along a busy road. They asked 40 euros for a triple that was dusty and uncomfortable. The price written on the door was lower ( 30 euros). Normally, it is the...

We stayed there only 2 night and treated this place only as a place for sleeping. It is not so romantic as you expect for Santorini, but it's OK if you want to actively visit Santorini for 1-2 days. It is about 15 minutes walking from Thira center. Room was simple, without luxury and design, but clean. We were taken...

The lady at the dock lied, telling us it had a kitchen and was in Fira. After arriving and seeing the actual location, and that kitchen in Greece apparently is a hot water heater for coffee and tea, we left, much to the anger of 'Mr Nick' who gave us a bit of a serve for leaving. For the same...

We were shocked when we managed to get a room in Santorini for 20 euros but when we turned up we were very glad we hadn't paid any more. When we arrived there was on one at the villa but there was a sign saying to go to a nearby hotel. The hotel was also deserted so we found a...

the owner was nice and kind. the room was clean, but there is no shower curtain so the hole bath room becomes flooded. also the location isn't very good. you have to walk about 20 mins to the fira city.

I am not too impressed with some of the reviews this place has received... I think people have to realize they are going to an island in Greece - so things are done the Greek way, and if you're looking for an Americanized tropical place to lie on the beach, greece isn't the place to go. The owners were not...

The room looked a bit like a dungeon. The beds were soooo uncomfortable. The owners could nto speak a word of english which is VERY unpractical, I had to rely on my Greek-speaking friend to communicate with them. It is a MIN 10 minute walk on a main road that is not very safe looking for 2 young girls...I would...

We chose this hotel because we have friends who went there a year ago and liked the hotel. We decided to stay at this hotel for 3 nights. When we got to the port, we met the owner who gave us a ride to the hotel. The room was really simple but the bathroom was really dirty and didn't seem...

Let me begin by saying that I had forgotten what hotels and hostels could be like in a tourist-driven country. Although I have travelled extensively, I have not been to a country such as Greece in a long time. Malta was similar, but better in some ways: the hostels and hotels, for example were simply better. There are no two...
