This is a little family owned modern hotel which has many attractive features. 1. The perfect location: just across a lovely beach, which its own area on the beach with chairs and umbrella, next to town, restaurants and supermarket, yet far away to avoid the noise of the tavernas and bars. 2. It is family owned and one of the...

We wanted a couple of weeks in the sun, close to the beach, not too noisy and close to Tavernas and shops. Hotel Sandy Beach ticked each box and more. A small well kept Hotel with friendly staff and owner serving Bed and Breakfast right on the beach with an informal and relaxing atmosphere. Fellow guests were a mix of...

We have in the past holidayed in beautiful crete particularly in paleochora always in self catering accommodation. But this time we fancied staying in the the yellow hotel right opposite the lovely beach. We were not disappointed with the sandy beach hotel, so well run ,very clean, with big towels ,crisp clean sheets which were changed on a very regular...

We last visited this hotel 14 years ago and were not disappointed this time around. The hotel is clean, well decorated and the owner is always on hand for advice. The rooms are just what you need. A decent size, good shower, A/C, fridge and good storage space plus we had a balcony, although small. We had room 15 on...

We only had a couple of nights in Paleochira and chose the Sandy Beach following a call to its owner. We are very glad we did. All the rooms have a sea view and ours was on the second floor with a wonderful view. We had a private balcony with two chairs and a table. The toilet & shower room...

Babis the owner of this wonderfully located hotel, sunsets to die for, could not have been more accommodating for our two night stay, we were two couples enjoying a short visit to take the day trip to Elafonisi. We always enjoy a pre dinner drink on the balcony and Babis happily allowed to take additional chairs from the entrance, providing...

We stayed during the Greek Easter period. Great location in a lovely town. The room was spacious and clean for a very reasonable rate. All the facilities needed for a relaxing stay. We had a sun drenched balcony off a goodly-sized room. The bathroom was clean, if basic. Breakfast was included in the room rate and was provided buffet-style. The...

After having tried over 10 different hotels in the area over the past 30 years, Sandy Beach is our preferred hotel. Babis, the proprietor, is a considerate, friendly, responsible and dependable host, it is always a pleasure staying in his hotel. The rooms are basic and clean, with firm beds, a fridge and effective air-conditioner. The view from the ocean-facing...
