The accommodations are basic but clean. Great lcation. The staff is very helpful in organizing tours. The soda restaurant next door is excellent. The free breakfast is nice at the lodge. I liked the large coomon area to watch tv and use wifi.

This is an amazing hostel. After travelling the world for 7 months this hostel stands out and is one of my favourites. Andres and Jose were so helpful and kind to us, especially when one of our friends was unwell and they allowed us to stay an extra night and rearranged our onwards transfer for us until he was well...

Lovely and welcoming with reasonable breakfast but very cold and drafty rooms. I would say take warm clothes and be prepared for some wicked howling winds. Definitely not the most comfortable stay I have had in a hotel.

Camino Verde has a nice feel to it. The breakfast was very good. The staff was very helpful and friendly. It's a very basic hotel but clean and comfortable. There were a few eating choices right next door and a short walk to the town. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

2 nights was good. We were close to town and the room was comfortable and clean yet a bit dated. Warmer water for showers would have been nice since it was a bit cool but not bad. Breakfast was good and again basic. Main building closes at 9 pm which I think is a bit early since we didn't return...

We were in the hostel in a private room, our room was clean and the bed was good. Breakfast was excellent, you could choose between 5 different breakfeast-options. Location was good, a short walk to the city center but in a quiet area so you got a good sleep. Staff was very helpful and friendly and you can organize tours...

We stayed 3 nights in Camino Verde with our 2 daughters. We were welcomed with an excellent cup of coffee and loads of information and tips of things to do in Monteverde to fit all sorts of budget. Andres and his staff were very friendly and made us feel at home. The room was a bit of a squiz but...

Andres was a very gracious host. The breakfast cooked by his family every morning was one of the highlights of my day. My visit was during the rainy season, so at times it was too wet outside to do any of the hikes. During this downtime, Andres made popcorn and put on movies and everyone at the hostel watched together....

This was my favorite stay in Costa Rica. Andrés was a great host and made us feel at home. The staff was always smiling and honestly never made us feel bad for asking lots of questions. We booked all our tours through Andrés at the front desk and we even felt at home when we watch a movie in the...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Camino Verde B&B is a "Bed and Breakfast" style lodging opened in 2009 and located on the edge of Santa Elena. The B&B is laid out in the style of a family house and guests are encouraged to treat it as their home. The building was in fact once the owner's family home which gave inspiration to this 'Tica House' designed hotel. The B&B is situated a 5 minute walk from the town centre of Santa Elena, but is far enough away for it to be quiet and have more rural surroundings. This is the perfect option for those who crave the quiet side of the countryside but who require the amenities provided in a town. FACILITIES: Camino Verde B&B comprises private rooms which sleep 2 to 4 guests. Four of the rooms have shared bathroom facilities and the rest are en suite. ... more   less
