Had a wonderful time staying at Camino Verde. Jose was very accommodating and made sure we had a comfortable stay. The bed and breakfast was at a great location, just a few minutes from downtown Santa Elena. Camino Verde was clean and had a great atmosphere. Great breakfast too. Would highly recommend!

I enjoyed my stay here very much. It was my first stop on my travels in Costa Rica and I felt right at home from the moment I arrived. The room I was given was a bunk room with a shared bath (though I had booked a private bath-- there was a problem with the room I had reserved.) The...

We stay at Camino Verde Bed & Breakfast Monteverde for two nights in the mid August. Jose was very friendly, funny and helpful, he suggested and booked all our activities in the area. Besides good breakfast there was always free coffee and tea. B&B also has community kitchen for guests to use.

The hotel was clean. Andreas is a welcoming and helping guy. We could ask him everything about the area and attractions. Breakfast was tasty and satisfying, rooms big and comfortable, and there was hot water in the shower.

Gracious hosts always willing to help with any matter from calling someone to fix a flat tire to making dinner reservations. Coffee and tea all day was a nice touch and great deals on wine & beer! The breakfasts were great, each made to order. We would stay stay there again!

Our stay at Camino Verde was fantastic. We'd originally planned to stay only one night and ended up extending to 3 nights. We had a private room and shared bathroom, which ended up being the perfect amount of privacy. We met 3-4 other travelers our age and often went to dinner or breakfast with them. The breakfast that's included with...

We cannot recommend Camino Verde highly enough. We originally booked the location for 1 night. It was so perfect that we later extended it to 2 nights and then again to 3 nights. Jose was extremely helpful in planning but in no way pushy. The combination of shared rooms and private rooms with private bathroom give a community feel to...

We had breakfast with pancakes (choose out of 5 options) in the morning at the B&B. Jose gave us a lot of information about what to do in town, we had...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Camino Verde B&B is a "Bed and Breakfast" style lodging opened in 2009 and located on the edge of Santa Elena. The B&B is laid out in the style of a family house and guests are encouraged to treat it as their home. The building was in fact once the owner's family home which gave inspiration to this 'Tica House' designed hotel. The B&B is situated a 5 minute walk from the town centre of Santa Elena, but is far enough away for it to be quiet and have more rural surroundings. This is the perfect option for those who crave the quiet side of the countryside but who require the amenities provided in a town. FACILITIES: Camino Verde B&B comprises private rooms which sleep 2 to 4 guests. Four of the rooms have shared bathroom facilities and the rest are en suite. ... more   less
