Me and my family (2 adults, 3 chidren) spent 3 nights at Tina's. We paid $50 for 5 persons, breakfast included. The room was clean (although we found a gentle scorpion in our bathroom), The kitchen was helpful in despite the fact that it is not very equiped. Cooking our own stuff was great when we were not feeling like...

The staff at Tina's Casitas was friendly, helpful, and English-speaking, and the room was comfortable and clean. It's a quick, dusty walk to Santa Elena restaurants and the grocery store. I would recommend Tina's Casitas to anyone staying in the Monteverde/ Santa Elena area. Bring earplugs; the wind howls at night and conversation outside the casita is clearly audible.

Tina's Casitas was by far the favorite hostel of my group, out of the four places we stayed. Andres was super cool and accommodating to our late arrival and even went out on the town with us to introduce us to a little night life in Monte Verde. The Rooms and building were immaculate and very comfortable. I honestly can't...

Driving up to Monteverde was a nightmare. We actually missed checking in our first night because we got so lost driving up the mountains without a 4-wheel drive car. Fortunately, when we finally arrived Jose didn't charge us for the first night and was also able to book us on a really fun ziplining tour. He was very accommodating with...

The included breakfast was so good and filling, my kids and I love going to eat each morning, fresh fruit, pancakes, gallo pinto, eggs, and of course, strong and fresh cafe con leche. Our expirience was perfect, Jose' and staff were all so helpfull extremely accomodating of my self and my three children at all times. Rooms are simple and...

Upon landing in San Jose, Monteverde was the first stop on a vacation of a lifetime. Although the bus ride to Monteverde was long and primarily on unpaved roads it created a greater sense of adventure that we were looking for. After such a trek, the assistance we found at Tina's Casitas could not have been more beneficial! Jose, the...

Easily the best accommodation for the price, Tina's Casitas/Camino Verde offers comfortable, clean rooms, a friendly atmosphere and a great breakfast. The manager, Jose Retana, is friendly, knowledgable, and provided an exceptional level of hospitality that made Tina's Casitas stand out in my mind as one of the highlights of my trip. Have I said enough about the breakfast because...

It's a pretty cool place to stay in Santa Elena, Monteverde. At first, the manager gives you a map with all the info you need to enjoy Motneverde: Canopy tours, hanging bridges, horseback riding, etc. That really helped me to take advantage of my time there. The breakfast is really good and the rooms are nice, quite small, but very...

Definitely a "no-frills" place, but Tina's Casitas is a great deal. 2 of us stayed there in a private room for $20 a night, including a huge breakfast. Jose was super helpful in helping us book and plan for the 3 nights we were there. The shared bathrooms were clean and the water was hot. If you are looking to...

I was recommended Tina´s Cosita´s from a hostel I stayed at in San Jose as a cheap but private place to stay at while visiting Monteverde. Jose the bilingual receptionist never stopped helping me the entire time I was there be it booking canopy tours, cloud forest treks, recommending local sodas that are delicious and thrifty, as well as help...
