We had a lovely stay at don taco. The staff were very friendly a and welcoming. We were greeted by Julio, who was very sweet, though his English skills are still developing. It was low season with not many people around so Julio showed us some rooms and we were able to chose which one we wanted. The rooms were...

Stayed here for 2 nights. Room was clean, had strong wifi and had hot water. Breakfast is traditional Costa Rican: beans and rice with eggs which is nice however they only serve breakfast from 6:30-8am which is a little early. Staff were helpful and friendly and booked all of our tours and transfers with ease. The hotel is located up...

I love when people take pride in their business!! This family run establishment was a great place to come back from tours of Saint Elena cloud forest. You can venture into town for snack,s souvenirs, groceries, and laundry. The lobby area is welcoming and the Wi-Fi actually works. The food was also good. We were part of an EF tour...

Great hotel only about 2 blocks from start of town (although steep). I had a nice private bungalow with all basics that one would want. Best part of hotel are staff all very friendly and accommodating, wifi available also which is handy. Breakfast was very good also, nice hotel to base yourself if sightseeing the region.

Can't speak highly enough of this hotel – the owners are lovely, helpful and kind. They accommodated all our needs, made bookings for us, gave us all the information we needed, and even left us a packed lunch for our early start in the morning! The location is great, just up the road from the centre of town, and they...

I stayed at this lovely family owned and operated hotel for 6 nights in March. I was with a volunteer group of 8 and three of us shared a large bright room at the end of the upper hall (#4) in the main building. There was a large shower in the bathroom with plenty of hot water. We had a...

This was the nicest, cleanest hotel my group visited on our EF Tour of Costa Rica. If you are on an EF tour look forward to this. Very simple bit has WiFi and no AC needed because of the wind. They also have a cute dog and cat.

I spent one night at Hotel y Cabinas Don Taco recently and I will return. It is a simple but attractive place that is kept very clean and neat. I really like being able to walk into the center of Santa Elena. I get tired of driving and being able to park the car and walk is high on my...
